With the way NHSEO will backlink your whole website rather than just a few links it does tend to be a more foolproof way of generating backlinks for SERP improvement but as with any tool you get out what you put in. Just a few minutes spent giving different pages (or groups of pages) on your website different anchor texts will mean each page of your website is getting their own links.
As with any website though it is always best to get a variety of links from different platforms, tools etc. I know people have ranked #1 in Google with nothing but No Hands SEO but for guaranteed long term results it is always a good idea to back up these links with other types.
The best linking pattern is natural, contains a mix of high and low quality and spread across the website.
If you did a link check with bad proxies then all the pages will have been returned as empty pages and therefore not containing the link, when the results were saved back to the DB it will have adjusted your confirmed links number.
You can re-test or not, most of the links will still be there. I generally find checking links pointless other than to check how different comments perform when they hit the moderation queue.
I personally do both money sites and linking sites at the same time. With NHSEO you can promote any number of page/website profiles at the same time as you like.

Jim, I have to be honest, I've been running this software for a little over a month now and I'm getting very poor results. It got 33 confirmed the first few days and has not moved off that number since! Any ideas?

In early January Bing results were very poor for some users so a transition is being made away from their API. There have been a few bugs, most notably when used with public proxies, but as of about 30mins ago the latest version should have this fixed now.
The next version should include a proxy harvester for using with searching so that NHSEO is again a true stand alone product. All known posting bugs should now be fixed and I will be looking into streamlining the new system, improving its efficiency and then on to adding more features.
This does work, recently there have been issues related to using bad proxies and some other crash related bugs but these should all be fixed now. Grab the free trial from the website if you wish to give it a spin, though if you do not have your own private proxies or proxy scraper then you may want to wait till next week when the proxy harvester should be added.

I have just auto upgraded to version 1.6.21.0
But after restarting i get a message : WinLicence
This is a trial version limited to 15 threads..................
The problem is i am not on trial version but paid version, and i dont see anywhere in the tool where i can reenter my license details.
I have this problem, on both my 2 machines i tun NHS on.
Please advise

If the latest version pops up that you are using the trial please redownload the installer (if using installed version) or the portable update (if you are using the portable version) from the members area.
You can set Proxy Goblin in automatic mode to search to X amount of proxies and output to a file by setting a task. This will make it constantly search and test proxies for you and output the working ones to a .txt file.
When you have PG outputing proxies to a text file you can go into NHSEO and then to the Settings=>Proxy tab and browse to this file under the searching proxies group of controls. Then check the option to constantly load from file and hit the save button. Your PG proxies should now be visible in your searching proxy list.

How many proxies do you need with this? If private dedicated proxies? What is the best route? Also I have HMA VPN - can that be used instead?

I never used the NHSEO task as I had lots of people saying that they weren't being updated in NHSEO properly. As I wasn't sure how they were fed into PG and didn't really have the time to dedicate to one proxy harvesting app I decided to add support for ay harvester/proxy list by importing proxies from a file at regular intervals.
It may not be quite as simple to setup but should be in line with the few other tools that load proxies regularly from a file and works with any harvester this way.
It depends really I would say 10 proxies per searching thread, searching threads can be set in Settings=>More App Settings, should keep NHSEO running fine but you may get away with just 5 per searching thread. Maybe HMA will work again with the inclusion of a proxy harvester but currently you need access to multiple proxies for searching and I don't think you can update your HMA proxies often enough to prevent the IP getting limited by the search engine.
I use 20 private proxies (well 16 now 4 are dead) and have no probs running at 2 searching threads which is generally enough to keep the other threads working.
Now it seems to be stable again I am going to be pushing hard to get the proxy harvester finished.

Ok I just got Proxy Goblin - is that what is recommended now?? I'm new to this - so where do I get help setting it up? I was under the assumption it was very easy to use.
The last log time was 7 hours ago stopping on "Updated profile: http://www.mysite.com" ?
Only 2 confirmed links were gained during this session. I am using 3 dedicated proxies for posting and proxygoblin for searching.
I still need to try captcha sniper and the last thing I still yet have to do is custom comments which I don't really want to do.
Right now this does not feel like No Hands SEO if anything it is Hands On Seo.

click save to disk
pick a folder (keep it simple like c:\proxies)
name don't put variables or placeholders matter of fact just call it gbproxy
click save
goto automated scraper
choose elite/ or anon for min requirement
click start
for instructions on how to point nhseo to your new proxy file, i posted instructions like a page or 2 back.

To test it out I just ran a couple of new profiles using public proxies for searching and no proxies for posting and within a minute or so I had links being confirmed. I'll run more tests but from what I can see everything should be up and running now.
