Here is how:

Black Holes are ranking for hundreds of keywords without even trying.
YouTube, Wikipedia or Amazon alone rank probably for 100s of thousands keywords.
Smaller Black Holes can rank for 300-500 keywords.
How is this done?
Simply Google see you as authority website, and it will scan your website for additional keywords.
If your niche is for example "wooden desk" then after ranking for it, you will start seeing traffic coming from most of the long tails like "wooden desk reviews", "wooden desks" and so on, without any additional SEO on your side.
Ranking for keyword with 20 searches a day is waste of resources, but ranking for 200 keywords like that will bring amazing results, and let you dominate whole niche
So you pick just base keywords, other niche keywords will pop out on their own!
