OK, I'm really confused. Can someone help me?
I had Website X. I ordered it and targetted Keyword A. I keep checking my searches since I'm checking out how this effects my SERPS.
Now, I checked Keyword A four hours ago. It was still in its original position, towards the bottom of page 4. I then checked again 10 minutes ago. It had shifted to #2! It had never been at #2 before. It was always in position 5-6. I then switched to local searches and searched a number of terms. They were all pretty important terms, and it was #1 locally in those terms. I was shocked. Happy, but shocked. After the damn xrumer blasts, I had built my own web 2.0 pyramid using 18 web 2.0 properties using pure unique content and doing a tiny amount of bookmarking with them. I also had one link push done so far, I don't even think its completed, I'll have to check.
So I then checked back five minutes later. My ratings had disappeared again! Like, not worse than they had been previous to this sudden bump; but went back to their exact position. I quickly checked my other 2 websites which gained rankings and have had them all day. They still have them.
So, what happened? I didn't imagine this -_- Why on earth did this sudden bump happen? Its like google did it, regretted it, then decided to punish me and flip me back to where I was? So confused.
