*** BIG TIP FOR LINK PUSHING -- MONITOR YOUR LONG TAIL KEYWORDS ***

One of the strategies I now use THAT EVERYONE SHOULD BE USING is to spread a little love on LONG TAIL KEYWORDS. Now you might be thinking, "Well yah, DUH!" But I am not speaking of long tail keywords that Google shows you in their lame ass keyword tool. I am speaking of long tail keywords that show up in your stats.

As an example, for one site of mine that I monitor, I saw an interesting keyword phrase that came up about 4 times in the last month. I never even thought of it. I was on page 4 for this keyword. So I went to the Google keyword tool and saw that this phrase had zero traffic.

I did a little research and saw that this phrase wasn't competitive at all. I then went to youtube and saw there were NO VIDEOS for this phrase. So anyway, I optimized this phrase for the page that was showing up. It was around 1.6% density and I changed it to around 2.6%. I made a 4 cheesy videos with the keyword phrases in the title and uploaded them to youtube. I then gave my page ONE SINGLE PUSH.

Now mind you, this site is less than 2 months old. After about 2 weeks from doing that single link push, I own the first two pages of Google! I have 5 positions on page one and 6 positions on page 2! I have two videos ranking number 1 in Google (shown side by side), followed by position 2, 4, 5 and 7 from various other pages within the site that inner link to that page, as well as two doc sites from the link push.

On page two of Google, I have positions 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17 as well. The top of page two (position 11) is also the other two videos from you tube (again, shown side by side). The other positions on this page are due to articles. It's really wicked!

This simple thing I did took only about 30 minutes to do due to the videos. However, the end result is that the keyword phrase delivers an extra 100 visitors per day. My sales have gone up by around 1% -- which is a lot!

So the end result is -- pay attention to your stats. Watch out for those long tail keywords that you get traffic for but have a crappy rank for within Google. Pay no attention to what the keyword tool tells you -- use your own data collected and discover what people want instead.

I have done this 4 times already and every single one of them turned into higher traffic volume and more sales. Pay attention. I think we as marketers rely too much on Google telling us what people want rather than use our own brains. So use your data -- it's there, so why not use it?

Happy trails!

[rest of post omitted to eliminate unnecessary redundancy]
This is definitely great advice. I've noticed a drop in traffic recently due to going from #5 to #6 for my main keyword, so I decided to look at my stats to see how I could diversify instead of relying on 1 keyword.

I found out that I was getting almost as much traffic from a misspelling of a phrase as I was for my main keyword. So I checked out my rank on the correct spelling of the correct keyword (because the correct will get more searches than the incorrect, of course) and found out I was on page 2! I have since moved up to spot #10, and while I'm still #6 for my main keyword, my traffic is back up due to just this slight increase from page 2 to bottom of page 1.

And just for fun, I typed in my main keyword into Keyword Tool and found out that just a slight reordering of words for my main keyword actually got more searches than my main keyword itself. And I'm also on page 2 for this as well! And since my site is basically already optimized for this, since it is just a reordering of words, it won't be hard to break the first page.

So just be sure to keep up with how people are searching and then optimize for it. Because I found two new keywords that are as popular or even more so than my main keyword, I have the potential to easily triple my traffic (and therefore my income) by breaking into the top #5 for these, and I plan to use the linkpushing to help me do that.

Quite funny actually. I completed a similar exercise last night in fact. I dug into the analytics for my site and noticed one page outside the home page for a neglected site was getting a lot of traffic. Looking at my stats for the last 6 weeks I found a whopping 27 related keywords that I am ranking for. A couple of which are showing as having both volume and CPC in the AKT.

So, now I have two things to do. Step one is optimize the existing content and step two is to create some dedicated content for the more worthwhile keywords that I have discovered.

Anyhoo, just another example that 'site optimization' comes in many forms.

Hi BassTrackerBoats,

Just three questions:

1- Do you create articles and spin them manually?
2- The articles is content related to the keywords?
3- Is this method effective for keywords in other languages (ex: spanish)?

Thank you in advance,
Kalaio

We do not create articles, the system grabs them according to the keywords you enter from article directories and they are spun automatically with thebestspinner.

Most of time the content is related but not always and it does not matter if it is or not... you want the backlinks in the infrastructure of the linkpushing method, not an article that will rank.

For non-English KWs, you have to enter the KWs in English, set up your linkpush and after it is all set up and it has grabbed an article, go back into the system and manually change the Bio and the keywords so you have the non-English KWs in place.

Here's the BHW coupon - B5EEDB4E63

It will give you 10% off your subscription and it is a recurring coupon so
it will be active for you as long as that subscription remains active.

I know this is a bit cheeky but I didnt know there was a BHW coupon code still active... I just signed up for a 6 push per month package. is there any way I can retroactively use the coupon code? Cancel my sub then reapply?

I know i'm a tightarse but every little helps!

Great system by the way. Insanely easy.

One of the strategies I now use......

Brilliant advice! I love doing this for my sites. I always find it funny when i end up with a site that gets more rankings and traffic from keywords i didnt target than from ones i did. Once you get a site up and going good you really can grow it and do well with it based on stat data alone and not even bother going by what google says. Great tip and reminder!

I have subscribed to Premium Link Push Sub but want to upgrade to Super Link Push . How can I do this?

I wanted to let you know an experience that I just had with a site for a customer of mine.

I have done 2 pushes to this site and these are the first ones ever done.

Keyword 1 ranked #6
Keyword 2 ranked #5
Keyword 3 ranked #107

Now the reason for 2 pushes is that I misspelled the city by transposing 2 letters in the city name of keyword #3

The rankings today are as follows.

Keyword 1 ranking #6
Keyword 2 ranking #1
and the most amazing
keyword 3 ranking #3

I created my first LinkPush last week and I have seen some significant results. I have done some "little things" here and there, but I don't think that they could be attributed to the results that I saw this morning. Last week my keyword was in position 231, when I checked it a few minutes ago it was in position 67. Like I said I did a few minor things on my site, but I haven't seen gains like this so fast before so the only thing that I can attribute it to is LinkPushing.

Great service Greg!

Just to update my progress from this post my keyword has gone from position #67 to #32 since the last post. All of this was achieved by using just one linkpush. I just added another one to my site last night to increase the rise in the SERPS.

So far, awesome results!

Hi Greg,

What % for anchor variation would you recommend. Say 80% "obama" plus another 20% keyword "why obama" ? Is that alright.

Thanks
Crowly

That's in the ball park.. 82/20 - 70/30.. in that range should work nicely.

I started my first linkpush two days ago in a niche with very little competition (45k Results), and i am already starting to notice gains for my target keywords, and actually many related keywords. The push isn't even 100% complete yet, only 43 links pushed - but the content on the properties is already indexing well - my google alert has been going off for my keywords. Needless to say, i'm very happy with the service - and, i will definitely be using linkpushing for many of my products.

This is the real deal.

1. Do you have any plans in place - or in development - for blog comments tiering to tier the LinkPushing.net properties? If no, any one-stop suggestions?

2. Do you have any plans in place - or in development - for profile tiering to tier the LinkPushing.net properties? If not, any one-stop suggestions?

3. Any thought on improving Social Bookmarking to include do-follow and no-follow social bookmarking of key properties? eg digg, twitter, buzz (if it's still around), yahoo.

4. I would like to be able to rank for keywords. I can enter different pushes; different keywords; different dates; different inner pages and/or home page.

Thanks. I've tried to reach you, but this is the only out.

Quick question. If I have a major keyword in the millions and want to see if I can reach say at least page 2, How many times should I push a LP for that 1 keyword? So far I have done 1 using the keyword and from SEScout im at #479 and before I was N/A

Just want to see whats a good amount of pushes to a certain keyword to really rank it.

Do me a favor and hit me up with your url and keyword via email [email protected] or PM and I'll be able to give you a more complete answer.... it's tough to do that without having the details and be honest with you.

Hey there..

I am quite keen to test this thing out.. and get quite a few pushes each month..

I just wanted to know a few things, about setting up jobs and so forth.

As of right now I have some of my own sites, and client sites that I am working with. Am I able to set up a campaign for each site.. and then load up 4 or 5 keywords and urls per campaign... and from that set of urls and keywords, can they be randomly chosen on each push or 2 per push or 3 per push?

Am I able to set up each campaign, and they set it to be pushed every 3 days for example, and then edit it when I would like to change out the keywords being targeted.

This looks on face value to be something to complement other things that are in place at the moment, but thought id ask the questions first..

Thanks in advance.

Tibor

You all have read my posts before and if you don't know by now, I am a big FAN of this service. I am going to show you an analysis of how I determined that this service was for me, not to mention the fact that it works!

I am going to use the 30 push package as an example and an hourly rate for my time of $25 as a value for my time. Probably higher than most but you will get the point.

30 push package cost is $220 without any coupons. This comes to $7.33 per push. Each push creates between 50 and 80 links back towards your money site. I will use the lower number of 50 in my example.

Numbers used

  1. Cost per push $7.33
  2. My hourly rate $25.00
  3. Links created per push 50
  4. Link types Blog posts, Articles, Micro Blogs, doc sharing, Bookmarks
Here we go.....

Take 60 and divide that by 25 and that equals 2.4. So for every dollar you earn from your hourly rate you must work 2.4 minutes.

Now take 7.33 and divide by 2.4 this give you how many 2.4 minute units you can work at your hourly rate to equal $7.33. This happens to be 3.05.

Now Multiply 2.4 by 3.05 and this equals 7.32 minutes.

This is how long you can work at a $25 per hour rate to create 50 links of the type listed above. There is no way humanly possible to do this in 7.32 minutes, even with some of the tools that are available.

There are a couple of other things to consider also that MUST go into all of this also.

  1. How long is it going to take you to find or create this many sites that you can post on.
  2. You also get RSS submission to Linkolicious (spelling:confused:)
  3. Replacement of links that disappear
This all takes time and time is $$$$. Even doing a single push is worth the value to me at $28 because you would be hard pressed to get this all done in even an hour. In that time you could have done something more productive like creating more pages for your site. I have literally spent hours working scrapebox and I only get one link type from that.

Don't just go buy something or not because you think it may or may not work, make sure it makes financial sense also.

In the instance of full disclosure; I do not have any association with LinkPushing other than using their service. I have no financial gain by making this post but it may help others in their decision making. When I find someone that provides me with a GREAT service I become their biggest cheerleader.:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I hope this helps some that are on the fence about this service.

@BTB If you want to use any part of this in a testimonial, please do.

I just got your PM a few minutes ago that you sent me 1 hour ago and responded before I saw this post.

I generally do not spend much time working on weekends but do try to keep up with things so that our clients are not left out in the cold so please forgive me for not responding immediately.

1. Do you have any plans in place - or in development - for blog comments tiering to tier the LinkPushing.net properties? If no, any one-stop suggestions?

We do have plans to expand our service as we have been doing that since day 1. Those plans may include blog comments but it is not possible to give specifics until we actually have those plans in action.

2. Do you have any plans in place - or in development - for profile tiering to tier the LinkPushing.net properties? If not, any one-stop suggestions?

I'm guessing you mean like an xrumer deal... there are no plans to offer some kind of xrumer profiling to any properties that we create for our clients.

3. Any thought on improving Social Bookmarking to include do-follow and no-follow social bookmarking of key properties? eg digg, twitter, buzz (if it's still around), yahoo.

We are always looking at improving what we do as to social bookmarking. We generally do not discuss specific properties for a variety of reasons but we, just like most of you, are aware of the hot social bookmarking properties and like to include them in our service if possible.

4. I would like to be able to rank for keywords. I can enter different pushes; different keywords; different dates; different inner pages and/or home page.

I don't see the question here... could you please elaborate.

Each individual linkpush inside your account is it's own entity... you can put whatever url and KW you want for each one and change it for each individual linkpush if you chose.
