Upgrades almost complete! Yay finally :)

The other new server is now in and running with it's new cblocks!

There is still one remaining niggling issue with a couple of cblocks on one server which one of the data centers is going to try and repair with a new switch on the weekend.

So there will be an outage on some cblocks on Saturday the 11th between 10:00 pm -11:00 pm PST (US time) as the switch is replaced. We have been told the downtime should only be around 15 minutes but we all know sometimes their guesstimate is out so be prepared in case it takes longer.

I won't know any sooner than you when it's due back up again so please don't fill my inbox asking about it please, but when/if they send me an email about it being fixed I will post here again to let you all know.

Thanks again for your business everyone!

Humans have accidents, sorry about the outage today, it was completely out of our control!

Hi, I'm sorry about todays outage on one of our servers. I just woke up here in Australia to an email from the data center about what happened, although it has all been fixed now...

"Our main cable was cut by accident by our data centers technicians when they were running a new cross connect. This cross connect connects our router to our switches/servers in a different room so right now all customers are facing an outage."

It is all fixed again now and all proxies are running perfectly well again.

Sorry for the downtime! Human error sucks but is sometimes unavoidable. :y:

Bought the proxies yesterday. Tested them out and they are super fast. Had a problem with 4 out of my 10 not working with BMD, contacted the live support via the site and had them fixed within minutes.

Highly recommend the service.

Thanks Reefer, appreciate the feedback, we do what we can to provide the best service possible.

Gah! We just lost 3 cblocks from one of our upstream providers...

Sorry everyone but we just lost 3 cblocks from our upstream providers which have now been replaced with new ones, which are actually even better than the ones they replaced.

We're terribly sorry about any downtime but for us this is the price we sometimes have to pay for the great cblocks we do have.

My system shows we made the transition completely and quickly but if you see any issues please let us know and we'll get them fixed immediately.

Thanks everyone!

A rough idea of our bandwidth limits.

Technically we have unlimited bandwidth, however we have some servers that allow "unlimited" bandwidth but most don't and we have to pay extra when we hit a certain mbit/s level daily. We don't get charged per megabyte but instead on the 95th percentile of the months amount of throughput bandwidth.

If you buy the lowest priced plan, which most people do, we expect a bit of consideration of all the other users on our servers. We get some clients who get a 10-ip pack and use more bandwidth than the entire rest of the server they're on, for about 15 minutes because they want it all done NOW. Some start a big run using maximum threads and then wander off to bed and it still gets finished an hour later, but causes a lot of strain on the servers bandwidth, when they could just turn down the threads a bit and let it run for a couple more hours while they're sleeping anyways.

So all we ask on the smaller plans is to turn down the threads a bit and give everyone else a fair go so we can maintain the level of service everyone comes to us for.

Hey texa on your site I read it assigns 5 proxies to 1 IP. I only have one internet connection in my home and two computers. So does this mean I can only use 5 proxies? Or am I reading this completely wrong?

Also, I plan to use these proxies with Scrapebox, VSEO, and BMD and to surf the web. Although you said no Xrumer (I don't have or plan to use at all), is it ok If I use VSEO? VSEO is one of the free beta forum profile creators offered on the forum. If you need me to PM you let me know, I want to purchase asap. Thank you!

I'm not sure what you mean about "assigns 5 proxies to 1 IP"? For example, with the 10-IP Pack you're allowed to use 2 IPs to connect to your proxies. This refers to two external IPs and NOT whatever internal IPs you may have on your internal lan.

You can use whatever app, apart from xrumer, that you want so long as you only use a "reasonably equvialent" amount of bandwidth and multiple threads comparatively to the amount of proxies you purchase. The number of allowed concurrent connections is also smaller for the smaller proxy packs.

Thanks, hope this helps!

Definetly! So, I shall be able to use 10 proxies on my one internet connection. Whats a considerable bandwith I should expect to maintain every day with 10 proxies? I don't plan to use a lot of threads as I'm usually working on trying to not be lazy and write articles. Other than that I will use the proxies for account creations with the said programs (not Xrumer).

Thanks! Ordering right now.

We don't actually normally give out the max number of connections we allow as we don't want a bunch of finger pointing going on. But it is what we consider a reasonable/generous number of connections depending on the proxy pack size.

Your order has been approved now as well, enjoy!

Thanks!

Thanks, so far it's been alright. Proxy speeds are decent (2 of them are really slow though) and no trouble plugging em into my broswers. However I do have some problems. I can't use them with anything other than Scrapebox because they are tied to IPs. I tried using it with bookmarking demon but it did not recongize my proxies. Same thing with VSEO profiler, a free beta forum profiler made here in BHW. I also tried entereing any login info and passwords besides the proxy info (proxy: Port) but that also did not work. Is it possible to change my proxies to become username/pass based or do I have to look for a new service? I really need to use these proxies for my programs.

Thank you Texacola.

I literally go through 1TB of bandwidth or more per month, would this pose a problem to any of your package levels?

Also are these considered "bulletproof proxies"? I mean... If somebody complains about some blog comments are you going to ban me from your servers?

Firstly let me apologise derpywizard as I had no idea there was a problem with bookmarkingdemon and I haven't tried using bseo yet though I have just downloaded it and PMed the person for a test of it now.

I have just opened your IPs in my copy of BMD though and can see the issue so I'm going to fix your set now so expect a couple of emails from the automated system as I drop and replace them. They work fine as fakename : fakepass @ proxyip : port (remove spaces as the forum turns them into smilies if you put them all together) though for the ones that aren't timing out.

Also we won't be switching across to using username/password authentication for our proxies as it's too unsafe as anyone that gets that combo can then use the proxies and most people don't realise that some of the so-called proxy testing sites just steal them and add them to their own "public" proxy lists so we've had millions of hits (literally!) to our servers in the past when this happened. So we just don't use that method now, but the faking method normally works perfectly in all the apps we've tested with ourselves as once the proxy software see's it's from your allowed ip's it just doesn't care and ignores it. You just have to make sure you put the proxies into the proper sequence the software is expecting is all.

Thanks!

Yeah I'm afraid that's probably way too much for us unless you pay for your own server plus the cblocks plus cover the bandwidth charges too.

And no they aren't really "bulletproof", as the term actually means, as they are hosted in the US but to date I haven't heard anything from our upstream any complaints and our users have been hammering crap out of forums and blogs for quite some time.

Thanks

This is probably overdue since it was over a year ago, but I just saw the thread and thought I should comment on his services.

I used to purchase c-blocks from Texacola about a year ago, and he was great. He's online a lot and can help you out with any issues. He's understanding and pretty reasonable too, I had some issues with making a payment once and he was really chill about it.

Not that I'm "trusted" on here, but I can definitely vouch for his proxies as they are super quick too. Don't hesitate to purchase!

Thanks for the review! My service, and myself, are still the same way now.

Thanks!

You allow scrapebox but xrumer is forbidden. Can you explain that wee little paradox? Do you just allow scraping but not "posting", is that it? I presume hrefer should be fine though if trus. Also, why do you only offer http proxies rather than socks as well. From what I understand socks proxies are more efficient and hrefer can use those as well. Or does it not really matter to me since the overhead would be totally something your servers deal with?

Have you run Xrumer on your own computer and checked the insane amounts of bandwidth it uses? That's why pretty much all the major proxy providers ban it, I'm not alone in this. Scrapebox in comparison uses very little at all "under normal usage". No paradox at all really. *edit added* Also xrumer tends to open thousands of sockets at once due to its queuing system and even the best servers have a connection limit.

Posting using scrapebox is fine and is normally the preferred usage of proxies within scrapebox as using them for scraping as well can result in the proxies getting banned in google.

We offer only http/https/ftp proxies as those are the most well supported proxy types by the proxy software we use. Most apps we've come across that aren't xrumer or emailing apps use http/https fine and since we aren't really interested in supporting those other apps we're happy to remain using the method we have.

Since we haven't used socks at all I have no idea what the "overhead" may be.

Our service is to help out all of those "common" type uses most people may need proxies for. If you want or need something more extraordinary in regards proxies and can afford your own server and cblocks with us plus you're prepared to pay for the extra bandwidth usage charges feel free to hit me up privately or through my site.

Thanks!

We Lost a Cblock Overnight

So all proxy configs that had IPs in that range have now been refreshed and those proxies have now been replaced.

Please login to grab your new proxy lists.

Sorry for the downtime!

We are in a flood crisis here in Brisbane, Australia where I live

I am on high ground so I won't be directly impacted, thanks for your concerns though, but I may lose power and/or internet and therefor I may lose some temporary control over the administration of the proxies.

Please bear this in mind if you can't get hold of me, but I will be back as soon as possible if this happens.

This is a HUGE hit to our entire city plus much of our entire state as apparently almost 90% of our states land area is inundated currently. Our peak flood level in Brisbane is expected at 4am local time (AEST) so things may get a bit hairy for a few days here as it's expected to be the largest inundation in over 118 years.

For more information please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Brisbane_Floods and if you would like to donate directly to the flood appeal to directly help the thousands of people who are now homless please go to http://www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html . I will be spending the next few days helping some of my friends who have lost their homes and possessions by helping them hose mud and other stuff from their houses, so I may be somewhat out of contact during that time as well.

Thanks all, be safe!
