I just been reading through this thread when i came to shezboys post

ok well i have been following shezboy in twisted autoblog thread, trying his system. It seems to be working by the way.

if hes saying its the thing to use then thats good enough for me.

This is the first money i have spent on any tools.

I'm also not in the habit of just buying tools unless I'm ABSOLUTELY sure beforehand that they'll fit the tasks I need. I have to ditto a few posters here and also chime in on the fact that Jay's support IS great (even for a *ahem* basic question like mine) .

there is some talk here about here about this software being good about making sure your accounts don't get banned. but exactly how does it prevent the accounts from being banned? is there follow/unfollow safeguards? also twitter TOS speaks against mass unfollowing?

I tried this script on asmall account I have and it got suspended, I did nothing crazy selected the use maximum limit for following and scrapped what it allowed. No tweets were sent. Now I am reluctant to try this on my more established accounts ... Anyone else ran in to this issue?

Was it a brand new account that you used it on?

Did you set it to follow the max that Twitter allows?

Did you set the time delay between following one person and the next?

I personally think that Twitters limits allow them to see who is pushing things to the max whereas it would be best to keep it below Twitters max limits.

Mmmm I'm just wondering if Twitter looks closer at accounts which run at 'speeds' close to their max?

I can't see any other reason for them picking up on your account. It will be interesting to see what happens when you run it 'slower' on a diff account.

I think Twitter are getting ban happy which is why I tend to run things much slower than what they claim are their limits.

Yup.. thats right. Slower is always better when it comes to twitter and never ever use the maximum limit when using it on accounts with less than 2000 followers. Based on my tests. All accounts that I used the maximum limit with (less than 2000 followers), got banned.

Its okay to use maximum limit after you have 2000 followers. And still, dont forget to set delays.

1.4.0 is out with the following changes

- Tweet scraper: Added delete and clear button
- Fixed bug when adding user in the followed list that already exists
- Slowed down the counter and Reduced CPU usage in all modules
- Reduced the button size and text fields in reply generator to fit in smaller screens
- Tweet Poster: Added button to generate schedule on selected entries only
- Tweet Poster: schedules generated are more random now up to the last seconds
- Some error trapping and minor bug fixes
