Choosing an offer and GEO
About a year ago, I started exploring this topic and tried it out across almost all GEOs. At that time, I hadn't seen any similar offers in affiliate programs in Mexico. I stumbled upon an article explaining that some ointments are used for both hemorrhoid and varicose vein treatments. This sparked the idea to contact some managers and propose promoting a varicose vein remedy as one for hemorrhoids.
I reached out to numerous affiliate programs, but only LeadRock took my suggestion seriously and actually tried it out. Other programs might not have been able to do so due to not having their own offers to play around with. Additionally, I've known a manager at LeadRock for a long time, and through productive communication, we've become good friends who discuss both work and other matters.
At that time, LeadRock had an offer called Veincontrol. We prepped the call center for this type of traffic and launched the campaign. Later, they split it into two offers: Veincontrol and Veincontrol (Hemorrhoids). About a month later, we introduced an offer specifically for hemorrhoids, Relifix, which had its own packaging and looked more like a hemorrhoid remedy.
Technical aspects
In our work, we use tools like the AdsPower ADB, Keitaro Tracker, and FbTool. No cloaking was used. We experimented with both high-limit accounts and standard $50 accounts for our campaigns. Our offer was a fresh topic for the GEO, leads were really cheap, at first. We could easily start with high-limit accounts, budgeting around $300-$500, which was pretty convenient. However, we found that high-limit accounts got banned just as often as regular ones, while costing significantly more. Early on, when our ROI was high, using high-limit accounts made sense despite only about 20% of them successfully launching. But as the ROI started to drop, we had to start testing more creatives with smaller budgets, sticking to the regular $50 accounts.
At first, we only designed static creatives because video ads weren't giving us more conversions while taking longer to produce. But by the second month, as costs started to climb, we stumbled upon an article about the HeyGen service. We’d never tried using voiceover announcers before, but we decided to give it a shot. We took our existing creatives and added a speaker overlay using HeyGen. Surprisingly, this tweak helped us manage the rising costs and even slightly lowered our cost per lead.
We ran the campaign intensively from 12/06 to 12/08. After that, we hit some issues with our high-limit accounts. The creatives stopped delivering lots of cheap leads, plus we shifted our focus a bit towards other offers. However, we're still driving traffic from this GEO and are actively testing different strategies on it.
One big plus of this niche is that if you handle the accounts carefully, they can last up to a $900 spend. This longevity significantly boosts our ROI. You can essentially run this campaign at a minimal cost, push the account up to a $900 spend, and still turn a profit.
Statistics
Conclusion
The GEO and offers are intriguing. The fattest returns were right at the start when we first launched the offer. Currently, you can still occasionally work with the ofer when we find new strategies and creatives that bring in leads for as low as $2-$3 again.
