An interesting question came up with one of my clients recently: Is there a limit to how many press releases about the same brand you can submit to Apnews.com?

The short answer is no, there is no limit. At least no limit within reason. I obviously can't ask the Apnews.com team to publish 100 identical press releases in the same month. But getting your brand featured on their website once or even twice a month should be fine.

Of course, in most cases, it'll be better for your SEO to publish press releases on other news websites. Rather than getting dozens of links from just Apnews.com. But if you have a special project in mind that requires multiple Apnews.com press releases, I can deliver that, no problem.

Good question! And no, we do not track or report links built through syndication. We've never put those forward as a selling point for this package; in fact, we've had clients get upset when they noticed that their press release was being copied and pasted on other news sites.

This was a couple of years ago. And honestly, the topic hadn't been on my mind since then. I just checked again and looking at our last 6 months of placements, I *think* our more recent articles aren't being syndicated. When they do show up elsewhere it's usually only on 2-3 sites, nowhere near the volume we used to see before.

Why did it change? Maybe APnews.com changed something on their end. Maybe it's because we changed publishers. Or maybe the other sites syndicating the content have started marking it as no-index so I can't easily track them down. I'd need to dig more into it to find out.
