Is it safe to assume that it would be a bad idea to invest into this right now? I'm a newbie and the commission looks good, but I don't see any sports happening anytime soon?

I think he means investing in promotion and time. I think now is not a better time to promote a product/service that's is related to outdoor sports/activities. Maybe it's better to go for indoor games/activities related products.

You are right, this covid has caused a lot of problems.
 
Right now is actually the best time to promote, while all others stopped stuck with traditional sports, we are going really BIG with esports and doing really well.
