I understand you are giving your views but I know for a fact people will read this and then use every word as the truth.

Again no offense but this is one observation and inconclusive to say the least. I can say that spamming scrapebox every day on my site is working but doesn't mean I would tell everyone to go to it. Because it is working for me!

Also I could say to use garbage content which is working for me but I would never go and say that. I understand you might be trying to help the noobs but by posting something like this you might actually be doing more harm then good.

Other factors that we do not know because we don't know the niche, we don't know the content, we don't know the competiton, we don't know exact anchors, we don't know a lot of things that can factor in your ranking. EMD could be total coincidence. Does not mean EMDs are now the best thing to do. But someone reading this will go out and buy a bunch of EMDs because he heard you say that.

Btw, it is just an observation I understand that. Thanks for posting your observation now I am posting mine lol

I request you guys to post your thoughts on this, and your working methods to recover from penguin or ranking tactics for new sites.

Nowhere does this thread really say, "this is the end all tactics to beating panda"... just a observation sharing thread. So dan the man, maybe you should post what has worked for you instead of criticizing. Or why post at all? Just negativity from you man, tsk tsk.

I agree with you dan da man..

But let me say, I did nt ask anybody to try this..and in the end of my post, i asked other members to post their strategies and results..

Everybody will be trying their own methods, but will keep themselves assuming it may wrong.

Instead keeping themselves, i wanna every body to share their tricks and tips here..

as you said above, garbage content work for you, same here..i mentioned "my blog has "lorem ipsum" content.

My point here is.. instead flaming or thanking my posts, i wanna you to share your ideas or try something and post your results, so it will help all of us..

I like to see this discussion move in a positive way rather calling it BS. Hope you will understood..

If you read my post you will see where I said worked for me. And I am not being negative at all. Just letting noobs know that this is an observation

For me scrapebox is working. Thousands of posts a daay.

Garbage spun content is working as well.

Anything else?

Yes I agree. Not being negative and I agree. Just want people to know that this is just an observation.

Thanks

Since this is an "observational thread", I will add my 2 cents.

I agree, that it is A LOT easier to rank with a new web site than an old one. If, you start out the new site on the right foot.

What I have been doing with new websites is targeting rawr urls, rather than keyword anchors, and slowing down the link building time frame. Because websites are new, it makes it easier to diversify the anchors and pace the amount of links over time.

With older established websites, it's hard to bring up the rawr anchors when you have thousands of links, and it's going to take time.

In my opinion, that is why newer websites are doing better than older ones.

anyone had success ranking a new .info EMD after penguin?

SB blasts still helpful in many ways. Also Social Bookmarkings.

yet another post about social signals helping and something that I have been harping on for quite some time. Hopefullyy now people will start to realize that social signals are the single most important factor in the post penguin era.

I agree, we should share, but sometimes it can be WORSE for people to share. For example, if you make a conclusion based on ONE website and then "share" it with everyone. Your intentions are good, but it can end up hurting people's sites in the long run because many people might follow possibly incorrect advice.

For example I am not a doctor. If someone has a bad illness I don't "suggest" to them what to do about it. I tell them that I don't know. Sometimes saying that you don't know is the best thing to do.

I told you my results so far, but that they are not enough for me to come to any reliable conclusion.

For example, about anchor text diversification. Everyone has suddenly assumed that diversifying anchor text will get you out of the penalty or that penguin penalizes because of anchor text. You can easily build links purposely with naked urls or random anchors, it can't be that easy to get out of. So people shouldn't be so quick to ASSUME shit like anchor text etc etc because at the moment, nobody really knows.

Just search for "payday loans online" without the quotes and you will see what works. Hack and rank sites. It's a shame all this Penguin fuss has really hurt a lot of people that invest a lot into their content and optimization while hacked sites rank number 1. It's a terrible joke and the real spammers/hackers are the ones benefiting. :(

Also 3 of the 10 sites on the first page for "viagra" without quotes are hacked, with a 4th one possibly hacked as well. :( :( :(

Only because it is effecting you. This could be the same for whitehat only sites. "Oh look at these blackhat sites using AMR and zennoposter. This isn't fair, I am building my links manual."

So what! I applaud them for gaming the system. YOu would do but you just don't know how. Neither do I but it is the same reason people hate because they can't compete.

As long as you are not hurting someone else, I don't see anything wrong with what they are doing. They are just doing it better then I am so I guess I have to step up my game and learn a few things

My point is that Google allows nearly half of the first page to be loaded with pure shit while going after some people that buy a few links. This is ass backwards if you ask me, especially when it involves prescription medications.

Those sites sitting on the first page for Viagra are using hacked sites/dns to generate their traffic. If you applaud such efforts, and truly want to step up your game by employing such tactics, have a good attorney on retainer. :) Which brings me back to my original point. Google's fixation on people manipulating SERPS by building links really should be secondary to those that hack sites. After all, people that have the money to build links typically have relevant sites that covert. If they don't, then they run out of money. People that hack sites are criminals.

Google +1, Retweets, Facebook shares, Digg, Facebook likes and so on.

One thing I don't understand about facebook likes, isn't facebook a walled garden and google can't crawl these likes?

Am I wrong here? How can google know about facebook likes when facebook is a walled garden to google?

If anyone can explain this, it would be appreciated...

great post bb. thanks

One of my sites falled down after penguin to spot 120. i've changed a few of my web 2.0 anchor links. build some forum profiles directly to money site, bookmarks, blog comments.
used for my anchors only click here, emd.com and some other targeted keywords. i do this 2 weeks ago.

Today my Site went up from 120 to 28 for my main keyword. lets see the next days :)

this probably had more to do with the penguin refresh, but maybe those changes got you out of penguin's web...

Sure, so I have shared some observations in a thread I started over here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-refresh-today-my-rankings-have-returned.html

take a look and let me know what you think...i just recovered from penguin...i list the actions i took over the last month and my conclusion is pretty general, in the fact that i really have no fucking idea why i recovered...maybe the 4 things i did helped...i don't know...

one thing i know about penguin is that it is really random and that is the first conclusion we should all make about it...

another thing i talk about is having an authority site and having really strong interlinking structures between the pages...does anyone have an authority site with, lets say over 1000 pages with a really strong interlinking strategy (think wikipedia style interlinking) that was affected by penguin?

If so, I would like to hear from you...

ahh right, thanks, thats penguin solved then...

im guessing that your post has NOTHING to do with the huge ass BST banner you have in your sig...

come on guys, no reason to tear each other down...

josh has a good service and i have used it previously so i can speak from experience...

social signals can be very helpful...i got hit by panda 3.3 on Feb 17th and mostly used social signals to recover until penguin kicked me in the balls (recovered from penguin as of today)...

High pr do follow links
Niche related comments (manual) pr doesn't matter
Drip fed social signals ( don't hit it to hard or will cause loss of rankings) tweets,g+, Fb likes
Unique content
Personal blog network niche related
Varied anchor text LSI keywords, URL of site
Quality web2.0 with unique content with social signal blasts done to each main keywords in URL of web2.0

You can accomplish this with $200-$400 a month budget also if you are lazy and don't do any of it yourself

Have seen results with this on a brand new site.
