Penguin 2.0 + 301

It should help. I've noticed after a few months though it all goes to pot. Not sure why but could be to do with manual reports to Google.

This is a very interesting approach to recover a penalized domain.
If it works, it could change the game drastically and boost aged domain prizes hugely.

Still working:

I will update you guys in two days!

keep us posted, suffering from panda would be nice to have something has evidence

The idea sounds totally feasible, and is working by the looks of it.

out of interest, did you look for a site in the same niche or with a particular backlink profile, or was you literally just looking to water down the backlink profile with random anchors?

please keep the thread updated over the next few weeks, interested to see how this pans out.

im currently trying it the other way around - 301'd my penalised site to a new non-penalised domain, to rid myself of the penalty.
if that doesn't work, I'll try this method.

also, thanks BB for your comments on doing it the other way round, good to hear someone else having some success from that.

Nice one OP for trying something different. I'm currently having a play with gorang's method of pointing expired domains at a new domain and site, I might give this a go too :). Would be nice to recover some penalised sites. Keep us updated please!

Same niche: domain with 250.000 backlinks to penalized domain with more than 1.000.000 backlinks.

from my tests 301s are not working anymore after penguin.

Did you see the link transfer reflected in GWT after 301?

I didn't yet test post-Penguin2 with 301 if terms of link transfer.

From my previous tests 301 essentially attributes all links from the old domain to the new one which is reflected in GWT link report.

If the old domain has a link based penalty, you domain is still at risk. The reason the ranking comes back is the penalty is a filter based.

They don't run the filter continuously and they might also run it spot based (not enough resources to clean up the whole index).

However, if the filter runs again on the same site, as the links are transferred, the new domain is going to be nuked (if caught by the filter).

301 redirecting Pandalised domain is useless as it doesn't solve the shitty content or layout problems.

Interesting, very interesting.

Logical idea, makes sense, it'll work. Not sure if there's a time span to the success though!

I'm curious to see what would be the result after this. Hope to see some positive results on your side. :)

Looking forward to an update!

There are a few possibilities:

- new domains 301 to a new domain
- new domains 301 to an old domain
- new domains 301 to a penalized domain
- penalized domains 301 to a new domain
- penalized domains 301 to an old domain
- penalized domains 301 to a penalized domain
- old domains 301 to a new domain
- old domains 301 to an old domain
- old domains 301 to a penalized domain
