PBNs in 2025?

Are PBNs still a practical Black Hat SEO method in 2025? I see mixed opinions — some claim PBNs are dead, while others still rely on them for ranking sites. I’d like to know how people are using them now, and whether they’re worth the effort and cost compared to other methods. If you’re still running PBNs, what adjustments have you made to keep them effective after the latest Google updates?

What matters is the quality of PBNs. You can't use churn and burn PBNs for authority sites.
 
Why would they be dead?

The biggest mistake people make it straying from the original topic too much.
Like publishing content about cars on an ex puppy blog.

Thats true. The webmaster cann't control the greed.

also there are lots of very very cheap pbns which are easily flagged by google because of poor expertise.

Some, those who say they are dead, quite often don't explain why they think they are dead. Or if they do, it will turn out that they bought trash "PBN" links or used brand new domains for their PBNs or something in that topic.

PBNs work perfectly fine and will continue to be perfectly fine as long as links matter.
 
Google cannot detect PBNs, unless you make an obvious mistake. They have never been able to detect them.

So make your own PBN network, stealthily.

But if you buy, it is another story. At the risk of stating the obvious, either it is cheap, low quality and risky. Or it is expensive, but it can still be risky.
 
People who say PBNs are dead usually bought junk links or got used new domains. PBNs still work fine and will. Just need good quality PBNs to make it work.
