I'm trying to buy an expired domain and use it for 301 redirect.

I'll make sure to have a clean profile backlinks.

But is it a MUST to have in the same niche. Completely the same.

I run a blog about SEO, can I buy an expired domains that talks about tech in general.

And is it a big problem not having the domain indexed in google?

This is the first domain that I'm going to buy.

What tips can you give me?

Buy the expired domain. Put niche relevant content on there and send some decent links to it. Let it re-index in Google and mature for a month or longer (2-3 months better). 301 Redirect to your money site.

Expired Domain(s) -> Niche relevant content -> Send decent links -> Sit for a few months to mature -> 301 Redirect = Nice rankings

Rinse & Repeat until rankings archived.

So buying a deindexed domain and 301 to my money site it's not a good idea?

The above method works for de-indexed and indexed domains (as long as they are not penalized in some way. Always perform due diligence on the domain before purchase).

The method will allow G to re-index the domain with the niche relevant content. This is the crux of the technique before you 301 it.

OP, if you can’t find niche relevant domain you can use any domain as PBN to boost your rank. Just create a content that is relevant to your niche. Regarding expired domain to use for 301, you have to index the site first then do 301.

Buying an expired domain only doesn’t increase your rank.Domain with high-quality content, website related to your niche also important. After that it should be indexed in Google then 301 redirect to your money site will help to increase your site rank.

Yes and no.

This is in a specific order how it should be done:

1. Get a niche relevant domain with niche relevant backlinks if possible and if it's not expensive as fuck. If you are in a hard niche and this cannot be done, move to step 2.
2. Find a brandable domain in a different niche, which can be repurposed into your niche. If you cannot find anything brandable, then go to step 3.
3. Use whatever for whatever niche.
