If I get a pbn is it better to use it as website or to 301 redirect to my site?

I had good results with 301.. better than PBNs IMO. But there's only so many 301s you can do.

Make sure that the domain is clean before 301

It depends on your purpose, just make sure it has clean history and quality backlinks.

If It has proper backlinks means better to use the 301 redirections.

The main point to understand before using 301.
Using 301 redirections won't pass full link juice to the money site.
No of pages need to be low in the domain.
It has to be the same niche if you want to use 301.
Make sure you were not using many 301 to your money site.

Phn
Look at my posts here ... I did some tests in the past
Or 301 > 1 site > money sites.
But that's kind of wasting amunjtion ...

I am not a huge fan of 301 redirects and any redirect beyond the first is basically a red flag. It's far from natural for sure.

Unless your domain is super related and anchors aren't too wild and it has shittons of firepower, then you are better of with PBN. 301 redirects requite a bit of experience to work, if they will work at all. It's not like you can just redirect it without being indexed and expect to see amazing boost. And more often than not, the 301 just doesn't work. So it's up to you, but I would stick with PBN.

As I put on another related thread the other day: -

Buy the expired domain. Put niche relevant content on there and send some decent links to it. Let it re-index in Google and mature for a month or longer (2-3 months better). 301 Redirect to your money site.

Expired Domain(s) -> Niche relevant content -> Send decent links -> Sit for a few months to mature -> 301 Redirect = Nice rankings

Rinse & Repeat. Still works well in 2017

Yep, this is how it should be done.
