It depends upon your keywords and the niche that you happen to be in. If its an easy niche, you may start appearing in top 100 results quicker.

For someone with a PBN that's over 1100 sites , all TF/CF > 40, unspammed, and many have tremendous authority (DA/PA >70, TF/CF >50) you can at least take solace knowing I'm probably right that there's been a severe rolloff in google crawl regularity as well as no updates in authority assigned in the last 2 weeks. Panda is an update that needs time as well to fully be realized, and needs to have a stable "snapshot" to do so. Until it's done, and settled google won't be changing that "snapshot". Moves here and there in weak niches are to be expected and don't a thesis make.

I agree 100% my pbn sits at about 450 sites currently and before and just after an update my crawl rate is utter shit. Same with indexing new sites etc. One thing I would say OP as where PBN Add to the mix they should be part of your link building strategy and not your strategy.

Also one thing to note is 12 links from average sites won't change the world.

It must suck I struggle with mine let alone 3x the size. Definitely not a one man job, wonder what he does for hosting.

It varies on how many I add and how many I delete in any given year (fallout is roughly 5% annually due to loss of authority or otherwise) but usually $20-25k/year for hosting and renewal.

How do you know that those PBN links did not help to rank. I am not saying that it might have helped or not but if the rank reached no.1 after a month, maybe it was the combined link juice of the PBNs and the Web 2.0s which helped it reach the top. Links can take upto 1 month to show results. So, maybe the PBN links were also showing their SERP effects after a month. Just my 2 cents.

Both PBN and Web 2.0 are good. I would not say one is better than the other.

Between 2 and 4 articles per domain. I'm writing the articles all myself so even though it doesnt have to be high quality it takes a while to write them. Is there a benefit to having more articles on pbn domains?

Just an update for anyone interested. My site is now at #22 for the main keyword, and it's been increasing at a good rate. Blog comments on pages with TF and ******** are great, and they really help the pbn to get to its full ranking potential
