PBN Linking Method - Case Study In Progress

Is a disappear from the rankings normal after pointing a very strong pbn link to your money site? I released the article with link on the pbn today. Article got indexed and the pbn article is even ranking on site 7 for a competitive keyword. However, the money site disappeared for the 2 main keywords 3-4 hours after the pbn article got indexed.

The site is 2 years old but does not have that much links. Only about 20 and no linkbuilding was done for a year or so. The rankings were rocksolid on p30 for months.

EDIT: Well, now its back on positions 30/30. I guess it will take 5 days to see results.

This is very normal with Google and you will get used to it. Nice to see you implementing the methods and getting a PBN itself to rank for certain keywords. You should start targeting more keywords for the PBN to rank since it already has got the power to do so.

Thanks a lot! Now I see again the rankings are gone for the keywords. Instead sub pages do rank. In your experience, how long does this dance take? I am a bit worried that the link was too strong and now it will be manually reviewed by google.

EDIT: And subpages got a push already. Thats a bit unusual to me. But I only have experience with 2 other PBN links to an other site. They took 5 days to push the main keywords and had no big effect on other subpages like this one.

I implemented a youtube video on the pbn post and even that got pushed from site 5 to 3.

But is it really normal that the rankings for the main keys completely disappear from top100?

Yes, it is very normal. You need to start worrying if it doesn't bounce back in few days.

Web 2.0 derives the power from its original hosted domain. They are good links to start with. However you would need backlinks from expired/auction domains to get better rankings. Also check whether all your Web 2.0s are indexed as they are notorious for not getting indexed.

Yes they are indexed in google as i check but when i was test add 2 expired domain or pbn in my website upon checking in majestic my still no backlinks. how can i get the past juice? why is it important? Sorry for noob question i bought those expired domain but looks like useless.

By expired you mean Web 2.0, correct. No backlink crawler will ever show you all the backlinks. However, if you know Google has indexed the post with your backlinks then be rest assured that particular backlink is counted. Just that the power of backlinks would directly depend upon the power of backlinks pointing towards the expired domain itself.

Quick question, 2 links to subpages from the same PBN article to one money page is ok right? Both with long anchortexts like "my keyword is the best product".

I don't know if I caught you right but you said you used 30 Tier 1 PBN to rank 2 sites in the same niche. And you said that you linked from each PBN to each of those PBN once. Does that not leave a massive footprint?


I am in a similar position in that say for example I am in the beauty/skin Niche and I have 2 Money sites that target the Acne Niche. Each my money sites are on different hosting. So it is a similar situation to you.(I think, well apart from the fact that my Comp probably Medium.) So if for example I buy 10 PBN now I can link back from each of those 10 PBN's once to my 2 Acne Money sites? You do this by putting say in 5 posts on each PBN and only linking to the 2 Acne money sites? The other 3 post have no link or they link to other beauty/skin/acne sites or a mix of both no link posts and link posts?

Given the suggested anchor ratio of 20% +-, that means, of the 30 PBN's you used to rank your particular keyword, only 6 of them have your main keyword and the rest of them link to your money site with generic anchor texts? Would it be too unwise to use 30 PBN links with the target keyword and use web 2.0 for the other 280 anchor text? 20% 80%

One more: each site from you PBN have several articles and only one article per PBN links to your money site, or do they link more than once per PBN?

Confused still not understand.. can you give a proper or simple answer.. i have blah blah.tumblr.com as my expired 2.0 domain.. page authority is 30+ backlinks almost 800 and unique is 400 plus according to majestic.. now i would like to know if i should still need to see my post are indexed by google inside the blahbla.tumlblr.com? pointed my site.?

It is OK if you cannot get unique backlinks from different domains to both sub-pages which is the ideal scenario.

I linked out to both money sites from more or less all 30 PBNs.

Mixing it up while linking out is the best option and towards I wouldn't mind if some PBN articles link out to both money sites in the same article.

Why would I change the ratio and get a bunch of web 2.0 links when I am getting the rankings. I don't trust much the Web 2.0s.

All PBNs and money sites are hosted on different hosts.

Info have 10 articles in the PBN, I have around 4 outbound links which are to money sites using different keyword combination.

Yes, any backlinks to be counted need Google to index that post. Everything else is a waste of time. Don't waste your efforts in Web 2.0, spend your time and money on real expired domains.

Quality of the domain depends on the quality of the backlinks pointing to that domain. Towards this so e of the metrics like Majestic TG CG ahref score etc are good pointers but none of them are as conclusive as your own eyes.
 
I posted an article on saturday on the PBN and still no movements for my money page. I added an youtube video in the article that came from nowhere to page 2 of google for an 8k keyword. But my website is still on p30 at google. How long does it usually take to see improvements?

My second PBN post on another PBN I made on sunday shows some movements for the money site. Article got indexed immediately. But for 2 days the article is not in the index anymore. The keyword jumped ~5 spots from #30 to #25 for an 15k keyword. But yet thats too less when you think how much money and work an PBN takes and the risik too.

I know things need time but I am a bit impatient :)

Impatience is not gonna help considering the way google behaves presently. Dont expect any settlementa before couple of weeks. Though you may see immediate movements and that is a good sign. Plus one PBN is not gonna make any difference if it is a 15k competition keyword. You need more than one.
 
How do you index your posts (not the actual home page). Do you post and lef that inner post page index naturally. I used to force it with Google URL Submit tool

I generally let it index naturally. If i am in a hurry i use the youtube video URL index method.

I know patience and so on but this time I am pretty disapointed so far with the 2 pbn links I set. I paid good money for the two PBN and I still do not see any movement for the money sites. Only a YouTube video (not mine) skyrocketed from nowhere to p17 for 8k keyword. Both PBN are pretty strong.

Last time I scraped myself and found two not very strong domains (one had only 15 links and the other about 40), posted articles on them and my moneysite jumped upwards like crazy after 3-4 days. Jumped from position 60 to 28. This time 5 days passed and both money sites still on the same positions.

EDIT: And as I wrote that, one money site jumped from 30 to 20 :) I expected more since p1 uses only 1 PBN link. But lets see what happens tomorrow.
