I pretty much know the answer to these questions. But I'm just hoping somebody will tell me otherwise.
I have a PayPal account that's in the -1000 range. My SSN is hooked up to it and ID verified with an inactive bank account (closed) attached.
I want to create a new legitimate PayPal for eBay selling but after a few sales I know they will ask for my license. And they will also ask me for my SSN soon after. I feel as if there's an alright possibility they won't link the accounts with just a license. But once I give them my SSN they'll inevitably link the accounts.
What will happen if the account's are linked? The account with -1000 surprisingly isn't limited. Will they just limit both accounts? Will they add the negative balance to my new account?
I fear i'll have to go with a stealth PayPal. But if I sell too quickly they will start asking for identification. It would be much less of a hassle to just provide legitimate information.
Any thoughts on the matter is appreciated.

only if you ramp up too fast or start selling vero, or prohibited stuff

    yes, pretty much

Since account with your personal info is banned, you can't create paypal accts with your legit info. There are ways to go around it but it will cost you.

You need to go stealth and per each new ebay, there should be 1 Paypal, which also should be new. There are ways to avoid being requested for those. You need to understand how to manage stealth accounts and new accounts in general and from there one you will choose whether you want to keep many accounts without reaching 200/20k or have few accounts that will be "business" ones with EIN attached

    Thanks for the post.
See I don't understand how a business account with a EIN would be useful.
I have the eBay stealth guide from Askpin and it mentions creating a business/merchant account and using an EIN in place of an SSN but I feel PayPal will eventually ask for my SSN in just a matter of time or if I sell too much.
Is it as long as I go slow and steady I won't trip any of PayPal's flags? But it's hard determining that line.

They will not ask for your personal info such as SS if you're a business.

If you're registered as a company, why would they ask for your SS#? Do you think they ask for ToysRUs's CEO's personal SSN when they open an eBay store?

They will hit your for your SS# or EIN when you're on pace to hit the 200/$20000 limit. After that when your account comes up for risk assessment, which is usually in the $5000 to $10,000/month range, you will get a manual review. If you can pass the risk assessment review at this point, the sky's the limit for you, as long as you keep within their guidelines. That's why building the account the right way is so important if you want to use the same account long term.

Go with business account. I agree they are more stable and you will not be linked to a SSN then.

The solution is to have multiple stealth accounts using EIN/LLC information.

If you're pushing serious sales/volume, accounts that you provide EIN/LLC information will eventually also request SSN.

Keep monthly sales per account below 4k and you shouldn't have any issues.

Its just a matter of risk level for PayPal. If you seem like a risk, they will require more information.
