I got locked out of my account yesterday and had to reset the password.
Today I got an email from Visa saying PayPal gave me an irregular charge. (a recurring payment was suddenly $4 more than usual)
I went to sign in and see what was up and I was locked out again.
I went through the reset password procedure but could not get it to work because the captcha would not verify. (they use pretty easy captchas, so I did it correctly)
Next I tried the 0800 number on their site and it would not allow me to call them.
Next I called the 888-221-1161 number, there was a 20 or so minute wait so they offerred to call me back. I agreed, 10 minutes later I get a call saying the "call back" line was being "maintained" and they would call me back at their leisure instead of within the 18-26 minute time frame they originally quoted over the phone.
Also, their site kept switching me from PayPal US to a PayPal address with /gb in the url and a UK flag displayed at the bottom of the site. I was not using a proxy, so that was not the issue.
Does that sound like PayPal is having an attack of some sort. I am nowhere near important enough for them to single me out for this sort of treatment so?
Is anyone else having any problems with PayPal
