Hi everyone. I have a question about PayPal for the more experienced people of this forum. I'm sorry if this post is not appropriate or has already been answered elsewhere.
I've been a Twitch.tv streamer for 5 years. Recently I fell upon some hard times due to my father's health issues (I'm his sole caregiver/provider -- no family to help me out) and my viewers expressed an interest in donating money to offset expenses. The problem is that in my 5 years of streaming, I've never once accepted direct donations out of concern for my privacy. Not only is SWATTING a real concern for me as a streamer, but I was stalked and assaulted in the past (unrelated to streaming) and am far more paranoid than I probably should be when it comes to disclosures of my legal name and physical address.
TL/DR: I'd like to setup a PayPal, but I do not want my legal name or physical address being broadcast to whoever donates to it. I do not mind sharing this information with PayPal for tax purposes. I'd just like to use a different name and/or PO Box. How would I go about creating an "anonymous" PayPal for this purpose?
I appreciate any suggestions or advice you might be able to offer.
