Paypal Issue

He hasn't filed a chargeback by the sounds of it, but threatens to if PayPal don't give him his money.

A chargeback is when someone phones up their bank and tells them to reverse the transaction placed on a credit card.

Chances are he is bluffing, a lot of people threaten to call their bank but nothing ever comes of it. If he paid with PayPal balance as opposed to a CC then it's up to PayPal completely and nothing to do with his bank.

You're in -$98 because PayPal temporarily deduct the funds of any disputes in action, the easiest way would be to solve the dispute and see what the outcome is.

If it's a physical product delivered, and you have no tracking notes, then that's your fault and get focusing on making some money, or ditch the account and leave. No one is going to come after you for a measly $98.

Worst case scenario, your IP is tracked so if you try and make another PayPal account, you'll get a message sometime saying "HEY! You owe us 98 bucks!". I've seen that happen before.

This guy obviously started a dispute on PayPal, what "reason" did he choose. Did he leave any extra notes? Leave them all down here or send me a PM and I'll help you out if you like.

Also, CHILL OUT! You're too young to get into any trouble, it's PayPals fault for not verifying your identity in the first place.

DOnt scam paypal, makes it shitty as hell for us ppl who use it for real

It's not my fault..... I hope PP won't do anything.

*Sigh* Dude you'll be fine, and I'm sure you could have Googled this if you really wanted to. If you had to ask in the first place than perhaps this isn't the right forum for you. Also I love how people are acting all righteous about using Paypal legitimately here.. if there's anything I'd like to see it would be some valid Google results for once, like that isn't more annoying in the long run

I should have added a poll.

So bottom line- Will I get raped by Paypal yes or no?

Bottom line is you said you sent it by express post, they have to sign when it is delivered.

Second. I sold a $2000.00 Mac laptop through ebay and paypal sent me
an email saying the payment was fine and to Ship Right Away so that
the customer would not complain.

THEN 17 days later they sent me another email telling me to
HOLD OFF from shipping while they INVESTIGATE the transaction.

Then 5 mins later I receive a follow up email telling me
"Their Investigation was completed and the transaction was fraudulent and
to NOT SHIP!"

I called them and told them have the monkey who's playing around in
their system shot.

They tried for 90 days to collect the money off of me, then my Lawyer
sent them a really nice registered letter and they left me alone.

PP would have to spend a lot more than $100 to legally force your ISP to give up your personal info. It probably isn't worth it to them.

Yea I'm still scared but I'm not sure if PayPal will come after me for $98... it's not like its my fault. They should go after the guy who charged back, hes the scammer.

Well here is an update, I just received an email today saying that my account is limited. Still have that -$98 balance. So should I feel less scared now?

Am I safe? Damn paypal chargebackers...
