Paypal Heads Up

in december, do you know what paypal did to me?

they suspended my account...

when i called, they said the wanted confirmation of delivery for my sales. these 'sales' were EPN payments.

so in essence....paypal wanted usps/ups deliver numbers to make sure epn got the item they paid me for...

how retarded is that?

imo, paypal's becoming digital product/services UNfriendly....which is a bit ironic for a digital payment processor...

I got my business account banned with them. They kept saying we don't think we are the best avenue for your business, when I do a lot with them. Tha bastards.
 
does paypal give everyone their money back or do they just keep it? because they have my $600 since 2 months ago. and i want my money back lol
 
I think tonlilaz hits the nail on the head. For a long time now PP has become more and more unfriendly to digital products, ever since the eBay acquisition.

The scary thing about PP is that if your account suddenly gets lots of transactions and you start gaining a fast large balance you fall in their radar and risk losing all of because of their suspicions that you may be doing something that violates their TOS.

So whats one to do if all of a sudden you create a killer digital product that sells like hot cakes is my concern.

More and more I'm leaning towards getting away from PP and using CCbill or Authorize.net. If you'll notice the big guns in the IM industry have all started using payment processors other than PP lately.

One IP - two accounts with different names, I'd guess that's the initial flag that starts this.
 
ya paypal is getting strict and starting to suspend accounts maybe some spammer made them angry or they want the money from the accounts that aren't verified.
 
A good tip to everyone who uses paypal. This is a way to secure your money just in case paypal ever freezes it.

Have someone you know that has a different last name send you some money, for example we will say have them send you $700. You pay him back in cash with the $700. That way there is a transaction now at $700. If paypal ever freezes your account and you have about $500 in there, then refund your friend for whatever is in your paypal account that way you get your money out of there. When your account is frozen, paypal WILL let you honor refunds.

This is something I do, I have not had my account frozen in a long time but when it did I was able to get my money out right away.

Do this with only someone you trust.
 
Just maybe a silly question, but why we do not join forces and take paypal down?

We BH's have the power to create milions of pages with horror storys from paypal, just let the people know paypal is on risk of bankrupty and you will see milions flying out of that company...
 
There is a trend, each time you use ebay there's a chance they will fuck you up.
 
I've always said that PayPal was horrible. I just got a debt collection notice today from them for $700 that I have no idea what they are talking about...
 
This is their policy to get some extra bucks, if they close 1000 accounts with 5 dollar each, u see the amount? They have also blocked one of my account which has no chargeback or any other complaints. Their reason is they have observed unauthorized access to my account and to secure my money they have limited my account. WTF is that, they are taking my money to secure it.

Paypal. Hmm. They just limited my account yesterday. Its like this as long as we continue to use them they will continue to do what they want. Ebay and paypal have basically tied the hands of the sellers.
Does everyone know what the definition of insanity is? Its doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a differant result each time!!! We all need to explore differant avenues other then paypal. Then we will all see differant results. All of us blackhatters search out new avenues and share them here we will find new solutions. ;)
 
what happens to the money if ur account is closed? they wont pay and u cant do anything about it? thats stealing.

But what are the alternatives?

IF its looking like paypal is a no no, what else can we use?
 
wouldn't just getting there debit card and then anytime you get money in there, just take it out and do what someone else said, just dont get anything put in there for a day or so but i guess with everyone on here making so much money there isnt much one can do..but they limited my account i had for 8 months but its because i owned a porn site that had my subscriptions going on it---which was stupid but everyone knows about PP and they trust it.

neways, i would just make another one with a difference CC and bank account, let it sit for a month and then try not to make the same mistake you did before...take out the money you have in it or do what someone said, pay someone and have them fund you the money so you know its secure.

just my 2 cents...
 
I am going to withdraw my money out now, it's scary to keep so much in pp. Guys don't keep too much money in your paypal account, just withdraw it :D
 
Took money out today cause of this thread -- Only 1 k but what the world.
