Paypal are reviewing and suspending accounts. I just had mine suspended and my dad too. Over 4 calls and the only explanation was the accounts were considered high risk and had suspicious withdrawal and deposits and the paypal security team do not divulge their reasons.

My account is purely WH and active since early 2001, I explained the only transactions in the last 3 months were payments from Associated Content and a couple of purchases on ebay. My dad gets a couple of minor aff payments and only ever made 1 ebay purchase I think.

They have totally fucked any pending business ops I have been researching the last 3 months and are witholding a grand for at least 6 months.

This happening to anyone else? There is nothing I have done to justify this.

were you using the accounts to receive epn payments?

Take them to court. If you made legit money they can't just take it away.

I recently had a fraud investigation issued against me by PayPal last week. My client gives me his CC info to bill him I use paypal to process the transaction after I create a buy now button and fill it in.... I've been doing it this way for 2-3yrs. And all of a sudden they want to make something of it.

I had to contact my client send him all the details of the transaction via email and then he had to call paypal and tell them it was ok.

If it was someone random I would understand... But I've been billing this guy for 2-3yrs. If it was "fraud" you would think my client would have noticed a few grand missing. Yeah. So what the FCK is PP thinking.

They have also jacked their transaction fees from

$0.30 + approx 3% of total

now: $0.35 and up to 3.4% of total

I didn't even get a policy notice update via email or anything. WTF just arbitarily raising rates with no notice. That's BS.

They aren't a bank so they make their own rules and the way that the operate is that the money isn't yours until you have it in your hand. They have a pretty sleezy ToS if you read through it.

Shit this is scary stuff. Especially when you have a few grand in it.

I am an aussie and there has been some media attention about net transactions so maybe they are getting jumpy. I had 2 EPN payments last year before EPN closed my account so maybe that is part of the reason but my dad's account is as clean as a whistle.

I read a post about someone making big money in paypal, he worried about rumors saying paypal shuts "suspicious" accounts with big transactions,
So what he did was contact paypal (he did through phone), tell them what he was going to do, how much income he was expecting, etc.

And paypal said it was okay and he still making big money with paypal.

Sorry but I forgot where I found the post.

yeh , gaypal are fucking our accounts . My legit account , never used for BH stuff , all white hat and it got closed . I called to paypal and guess what they said:
"sorry but we can't do anything about it..."

It's the economy, they're freezing massive amounts of accounts (more Than Usual it seems), to protect themselves from loss, as I'm sure lots of people are hurting and pulling money from they're Gaypal accts, to survive.

Eat or Be Eaten.

At least that's what I think anyways.

Maybe your dad's account got closed because it is linked to the same address as yours.

It's really scary what is happening with Paypal. From now on, I'm not going to let any large amount of cash remain in my account.

Any of you guys getting accounts closed have any chargebacks / disputes against you?

For example my account was only for paying , haven't received any money in it. So no chargeback or disputes

I never keep more than $30 in my PP. Withdraw it as soon as you reach a substantial amount and expect not to make money in another 2-3 days.

I never keep more than $100 in Paypal. Once i hit that threshold, I withdraw... I never heard of accounts getting closed before but unsubstantiated chargebacks were always a concern..

I just logged in to double check, still good! whew.

account holder since 2000, almost 10 years.. wow time sure does fly.

If you withdraw the money to lets say plimus or such or Epass can they do chargeback on that ?
