So I recently started dropshipping items from Amazon to eBay. I started with a new eBay account and a new Paypal account. Upon selling my first item, I came to the realization that the funds from the buyer are not immediately released. For many new sellers, this may be their quitting point. But there ARE ways to deal with this program. What I do is, pay for the product out of my pocket and get it shipped with amazon ASAP. When the item is shipped through Amazon, DO NOT UPLOAD TRACKING INFO. You need to wait until the item is delivered (2 days w/ Prime) and then call Paypal at 855-684-1966. When you call Paypal, you will be answered by their automated system. Tell them your call is in reference to a "Pending Balance" and then "Pending Transaction". Once you get a representative on the phone, you simply tell them that you sold an item on eBay and that you have delivery confirmation and you would like the funds to be released. If the item is delivered and you have tracking numbers to prove it, Paypal will release your funds every time. This method only works over the phone. If you upload the tracking info to Paypal you will have to wait 3 days AFTER delivery for your funds to be released. Another way to have Paypal release your funds is to call and ask them to release funds for a specific transaction so that you can pay for shipping. They will tell you that you can print shipping labels through Paypal/eBay, and you respond that you do not have access to a printer. This method will work, but cannot be abused. If you call them too many times asking to release funds to cover shipping costs (before the item was shipped or delivered) they will continuously remind you that you are in the funds availability program. But if you are persistent enough, they will release your funds almost always.

This funds availability program doesn't last forever. Once you establish yourself as a seller on eBay, this limitation will be removed. There are three steps to get out of this program, follow these and you will be out in 90 days.

    1. You need 25 sales transactions (you can achieve this quickly by selling recipes in PDF form for 1-25 cents)
    2. $250 in sales
    3. 90 days from the date of your first sale.

Unfortunately there is no other way around the 90 day period. I've tried everything from calling Paypal to calling eBay, and they simply wont graduate you out of the program without 90 days passing from your first sale. I even tried calling eBay after I reached the 25 transactions and $250 sales mark. They told me that I need to pass the 90 days.

I hope this helps any new eBay sellers out there that are trying out dropshipping. It can be tough at first to upfront the cost of items, but just stick to lower cost items for the first 90 days. It is worth the wait. After the 90 days you will get IMMEDIATE payment from your eBay buyers. This means you can start listing higher price (aka higher profit) products.
