You cant do anything. Paypal is buyer friendly and you need to live with it. Having said that its better to save ones ass by having proper proof of transaction and it can be shown to Paypal to have your money back.

    Bullshit.

Get the buyer to send payment as "goods" and then ship out a CD with a tracking number to their verified Paypal address (or whatever they specify). It's HIGHLY unlikely that you will lose a potential dispute this way.

If you get a dispute just do what I said. It's annoying but the nature of the business. You will win within a few days so shouldn't be too much of an issue.

And then watch your main paypal account take a shit in a few hours. Do what the other guy says. Ship something to their verified address and call it a day! They will lose the dispute regardless.

Well they both are right If you have proper proof it will take some days but you will get the money back and call paypal and it will happen faster :)

but the other way of sending a cd is the safer one as there is no way he can start a dispute :)

.. other than filing the dispute as "Unauthorised" - in which case you're f***ed. (and so is their paypal account if they try it more than once or twice but that's a whole different story).

By the way - when you get a dispute pay good attention to the reason of the dispute. As a general rule:

"Item Not Received" (and you haven't shipped anything physical) - You have virtuall no way of getting your money back.

"Item Not Received" (and you HAVE shipped something physical) - Escalate right away and in 99% of cases you will get your money back

"Item Not As Described" (and you haven't shipped anything physical) - Escalate RIGHT AWAY using the word "intagible" in your message and you will win the dispute automatically!

"Item Not As Described" (and you have shipped something physical) - Escalate telling PayPal about the nature of the deal and you'll win most of the time.

"Unauthorised" - Consider the case lost but escalate it regardless and try to provide as much proof (such as all emails you can find, screenshots etc.)

Use escrow if it is a concern to you. Generally I wont' sweat about dispute too much as it's rare (at least for me)

Any paypal payments over $250 you wanna get a signature proof as well as a tracking number because of their policy. With that said, you can have proof of shipping and some times PP will screw you over. I recently lost a case where I mailed an item and had the tracking number but the buyer moved but didn't update their paypal address or bother to tell me. Two weeks later I get a notice of goods not recieved complaint and that the funds were taken from my account while PP investigates. I escalated the claim and sent in the tracking number but for reasons I'll never PP sided with the buyer, wtf. Thankfully it was a small thing but still sucks.

    that is strange.

if u provide tracking info and the address that is stated during the point of transaction, you will get the money back.

it is not ur issue if u were not given the new address.

if they never gave u an address to deliver to and u deliver based on the PP address, u should not be penalised for that.

dun u have a payment receipt from PP ? they will have a delivery address on it right ?

if u send the item based on that email, u should be able to proof ur case.

You should withdraw the money as soon as the buyer sends you the money
