HELP. I've been dropshipping replicas directly from my supplier to customers on ebay, craigslist, amazon etc.

This morning i woke up to an email saying they have closed my acount and holding the money for 180days (y so long) and that any appealing would be denied.

The replicas i sell are of 1:1 quality (not the crap you get off dhgate, alibaba) i had no complaints, or negative feedback. I paid that little bit extra to avoid complaints, and deal only in quality.

Do i just sit back and wait, or fight my corner. They have no proof against me..

this was been mention many times not to let paypal hold the lot of monies. They are the most famous rubber that let those internet police still operate.

Sorry for your lost buddy, if you find that you are innocent, make an appeal even they say don't. At most worst bring them in court.

so they are holding the money for 180 day...what happens after that? do they return the money to your bank account?

You should expect something like this to happen eventually when dealing with replicas.

There is nothing you can do but wait Paypal is a bitch with holding funds.

From my experience paypal is a losing battle.

After 90 days you can call in and if you havent had any complaints usually you can get them to release it..

If the person you talk to at 90 days wont release it just keep calling until you find someone who will.

My new tactics with paypal and ebay are spread the money over a lot of accounts that way if one goes down its not a big hit. and I dont sell replicas, all off my stuff is legit they just keep linking me back to an account when I had when i was 16 and was cancelled because I was 16.

Its the paypal ebay game..

Everyone is right, there's not much you can do when a merchant account or PayPal decides to shut you down.

Check here for more PP nonsense (add the http's, I can't post URL's yet):

Cheers for the help guys. I've just opened a new paypal account, so hopefully i will be able to continue selling

Please tell me aint going to do the same as before, cause im sure happen once will just happen again.

I was doing it on a rather large scale to be fair. 8000$ can be made again relatively soon, it's just annoying..

never leave more then a weeks sales in PP. Multiple accounts. Spread them around. Problem with selling knock offs though yes. if it is a complaint from copyright holder say good buy to money and look for possible signs of other machinations (like someone trying to serve you. don't answer the door! ;). use Bank account A to empty PP then quickly remove cash and deposit to B that has zero connection to a paypal acct (tax hassle so keep bank statements and records in case audited) then avoid any big hits or ugly liens on bank account

Cheers for the advice. Very helpful :)

I know exactly what you are selling, the problem is that the products that you are selling even if they are 1:1 are only sold by that particular company and none else. They have no distributors that they do not know personally. So when they see more than 1-2 of these being sold they know where you are getting them then they send in a complaint. As for the 180 days your screwed. Happened to me about a year ago. I did get my money and just started selling over 10 accts. Mixing of course real stuff I buy off craigslist in with the replicas. I havent been flagged and I move the money within 48 hours in every acct. Even if one gets flagged I have 9 more :) Sucks but that is the price you pay to do this.... Sorry to hear about this.

Well... 180 days from now you'll get a $8000 pleasant suprise. Make more money now and you'll forget all about it:)

more than 5 accounts limited here, so tired of paypal, I just avoid using paypal whenever i can

I had similiar issue. If you stay on them they will eventually give you the money.. Threaten lawyers, continue to call, I threatened to call BBB.

so they are holding the money for 180 day...what happens after that? do they return the money to your bank account?

If you used your real name on your account you can get a check mailed to you after 180 days. If you have a bank account already linked to your paypal you can withdraw to that after 180 days. Just remember to log in after 6 months.

You will get your money back after the 180 day period, the only decent thing I can say about gaypal.

I haven't had any issues with Paypal yet, but since I hear so many stories like this, I just make sure to transfer my money out basically right when it hits my account.

Either transfer it to your bank account right away, or get a Paypal debit card and withdraw everything from an ATM machine regularly.

Not sure how this following advice will work out for you, since you were dealing with replicas. However, you should note that the ban of your PayPal account may actually not be at all associated with you selling replicas. They could have simply closed it for no or any reason, or simply because you were turning over a lot and they got suspicious.

So what I am trying to say is don't jump to the conclusion that they somehow found out you're dealing in replicas.

Anyway, since they say any appeal would be denied it sounds like they are quite strict on this as they have never told me this before. So I am not sure how this will work for you.

Here is what I did when my friend kept asking me for help as PayPal blocked his account and he was selling replicas also on his account. They just wanted to do the ID checks on him though, yours sounds a little more serious.

We ended up sending in all of the ID's they requested multiple times because they would always find a reason or excuse to not let his money out. I believe it was AU$3500 at the time. They just kept making excuses despite us sending in ID every second day.

As I was the one doing all of the work as my friend doesn't know how / is lazy, naturally I got a little bit fed up.

I called them and when I connected to an operator I told her I was recording the conversation, which I was. I told her I am taking this recording to court and just advised her that she was being recorded as it was a nice thing to do (so she had a chance to act well). I also asked her for her full name and some employment/ID number but I can't remember if I got any of that. I noted down the date and time of the call.

I told her we have been sending in ID for two weeks and keep getting excuses. I told her I was sick of it and I was taking PayPal to small claims court in Australia. I gave her the location of the town where the claim would be filed and I told her they have 48 hours to unlock the money as we have endlessly tried to provide the ID they requested (even though the ID they needed was way over the top).

End result: the following morning the restriction was lifted and money came out of the account.

Good luck, and take them to small claims court. Worst that can happen? You wait 180 days? Best: you get your money back plus potentially extra in damages.

Nope. In 2003 - $7000+ in account.
Froze me after I sent products.
Gave me the 180 Day BS line
Sent back money to ALL my buyers (Even ones who had gotten their products weeks before)
After 180 day told me had to prove I sent everything to the people whos money I did not get cause it was frozen. I didnt have proof as I was paying my expenses from my PAYPAL card. PLUS they had gotten a refund against my will via PP.
So - they deemed my business fraudulant and I never NEVER got shit back. THEN - Ebay closed me too and charged me for the fees from my personal bank account. - over drawing it because by then I wa broke. All my money was in Paypricks.
F**K them.
And multi accounts.. wont work for long. They figure it out unless you are seriously stealth.
Good Luck!
