Hello guys,

Back in November 2015 I sold a GTA 5 online on ebay. Everything was well, until in December I got an e-mail stating that a chargeback was made (i didn't even knew what that was because it never happened before). I had -62$ in my paypal balance because I spent the money I got on GTA 5. I sent them messages and called them and they said that it will be ok, bla bla bla. I got the money back and now, at the end of January 2016 I received an e-mail stating that the chargeback update decision was in the buyer's favor. I now have a negative 62$ paypal balance and I did nothing wrong. I proved that I sent the key code for GTA 5, I saw the guy playing on Steam and everything. I live in Romania. What can I do? Please Help.

Thanks,
Phil

Shrug it off and move on.
Can't do much really, paypal and ebay tend to have some bullsh*t reputation of ALWAYS being in the favor of the buyer.
So once you sell something online, and buyer chargesback, there is really no way to get item or money back.
Pathetic but that's just how it goes, had it happen to me many times on using ebay / paypal.

Yes paypal is shit regarding chargebacks from seller's point..Unless you are covered by seller protection or something like that,it will be really hard to prove you are right..If you google "Paypal chargebacks, how to avoid them" you will see a lot of stories from sellers, with not a happy end

And what should i do with the negative balance? Just ignore it? I cannot remove my credit card from them...

If you don't have a delivery record by post office, fedex, ups, or dhl, you will lose paypal chargebacks almost 100% of the time for not being able to prove delivery. Being able to prove delivery means that you only lose cases 90% of the time on chargebacks.
