Does an outstanding balance of say $600 on your paypal balance affect your credit if you just don't pay it back. I f*ing hate them and would prefer not to pay it back if at all possible.

P.S. I'm located in the US.

They will send loan sharks after you. There was a thread here, where paypal sent someone to harrass them because they had $80 to pay. I cant even imagine, what there going to do with you. Search for the thread "paypal $80 part two" or something like that

Yeah, I was thinking that istuff, but can anyone actually comment on this that has done it? No way will paypal waste that much money sending people after you, think about it, that is bad business, someone owes you $80, so you pay people to go after them for it? I am not discounting you, but rather the person who said that.

Don't know about the US but here in the Uk Paypal use very aggresive methods to chase debt, the courts and bailifs etc, scumbags if you ask me.

Any collection reported to the credit bureau will negatively affect your credit.

I would hope so, that is why there is a "credit" system. Rankings allow banks to loan you money based off of you being a financial risk.

You owe them money, pay them back. It is as simple as that.

yes they will send you letters & call the phone # you have on the account if you use your real personal info and SS# but they won't do anything more. It will go on ur credit if you dont dispute it if im not mistaken. I haven't looked at my report to see

They'll keep calling you and sending you letters.

The Solution: Call em up tell em you just moved here, or the person no longer lives here, etc. If they call you, tell em you just got this number. If they send you a letter, cross it out, and tell em the person doesn't live here, etc. You get the point. The harassment will stop.

Just pay them mate don't let Gaypal give you a negative credit rating. It can effect you in the future if you need to get a loan from a bank.

I had a -50 USD balance, but my account was unverified, i sent them screenshots to prove that the transaction was legit but they didn't approve them, they sent me lots of emails and i just abandoned that account.

Yeah, I'm going to pay them, but this is total bull-fucking shit. It's been about 75 days since I haven't paid them, I've heard after 120 they pass it on to a debt collections agency, is this true?

Hi guys!

I am from the U.S. and am in a similar situation.

I sent a man a PC part, when I provided the tracking number, he filed an unauthorized claim against me. Well, the money was already transferred to my bank account, so now my Paypal account is negative $350 or so.

Paypal won't help, because they support the scammers. ;)

How can I avoid the credit from effecting me? Will changing details or address matter if they have a SSN?

Quite frankly, sh!t on paypal. I did my part, sent my item, and took my payment. I am out now. They can eat it if they please!

I stand up for my rights, and I will not let the giant take my money.
