Payoneer Official Thread

Hi, I'm just trying to understand the fees and everything involved with setting up and using Payoneer.

I'm from the UK and wanting to receive payments from Amazon US. I register for a Payoneer account, then presumably set up some sort of US $ account to receive payments?

Once I register an account / get accepted, I'm presumably sent out a card in the post?

Questions -

1. Since I'll be making withdrawals in pounds sterling from a US dollar account. Besides the $3.15 per transaction fee, are there any currency conversion fees on top of this? If so, how much will this bump the transaction fee up by?

2. I understand there's also an annual account maintenance fee of $29.95, are there any other fees involved in setting up or using an account?

3. Lastly, if I choose to withdraw money from the ATM, are there any limits to how much I can withdraw using your card? Basically, if I wanted to withdraw the full balance of my Payoneer account, would I need to make several withdrawals all incurring separate transaction / currency conversion fees?

Hello Nissim,
I'm from Morocco, it's a big hustle to start a business online, so I signed up with Payoneer because it offers good services.

The only problem is .. Well, to start making money you need to spend money !

And I just can't do that because of the new policy : I must recieve payments from Payoneer partners (Which are for the most freelance websites, not appealing to me) to enable the private loading service. Not just that, but to be considered as an active member, I have to recieve at least 150$ in payments, which is a lot of money for me.

This is really frustrating, can you suggest something for me to avoid begging people to hire me on Fiverr ?

When using your Payoneer card in a non-USD currency, funds are converted using rates of up to 3% above MasterCard's official currency conversion rates.

When withdrawing funds to your local bank account, we convert funds using rates of up to 2.75% above the mid-market rate at the time of transfer. For GBP in specific, it's only 2% (for the Withdrawal to Bank Account option).

There are no fees or charges when signing up for your account. All fees are deducted from your available account balance, once you begin receiving payments - this means that you can sign up and receive your card without paying anything. There is also no obligation so if you choose not to use your account at that point we wouldn't charge you anything.

The annual fee is the only maintenance fee for the account. Additional charges (such as cash withdrawal and replacement cards) would be listed in the "Pricing and Fees" section of your Payoneer account (displayed during sign up and then at any time via your online account).

What's the maximum cash i can take from ATM at once?

The Payoneer card has a daily cash withdrawal limit of $2,500.00 and a separate online/in store purchase limit of $2,500.00 (total daily limit of $5,000.00)

If your clients are US companies, they can send you direct payments, via US ACH/Direct Deposit, to your US Payment Service. You can begin receiving US Payment Service payments as soon as your account is approved, with no limit.

Note that the clients must be US companies, and must send the bank transfer from a US company bank account.

I currently use the payoneer debit card and I have to say that it sucks. It is loaded with fees. There is not one place where cardholders can withdraw cash without getting hit with a fee, which is the part that really irritates me, since I believe that you should have a bank that user can withdraw from without a fe eg. chase, citbank, bank of america, etc.

The only reason I have the card at this point is because of the faster loading, but I will be switching back to direct deposit where I am free from all these fees soon. Right now, the debit card just seems like a sleazy attempt to generate revenue from its users.

My payoneer card is going to expire in 2 months..How to renew my card..please help me to re issue the card

I'm sorry to hear that, Meloman. The Payoneer card is a very convenient and cost effective way to have immediate access to your funds. Depending on which company is sending you funds, we also have a Global Bank Transfer Service that allows you to receive payments directly to your bank account in your local currency. In addition, we have a new Withdrawal to Bank Account Service which allows you to withdraw your Payoneer account balance to your bank account. This service is new and not yet available to all account holders, however we hope to have it available within the next few months.

My payoneer card is going to expire in 2 months..How to renew my card..please help me to re issue the card

2 months or so prior to expiration you will see an option on your Payoneer account (online) to order a new card. If you do not see this option, you can also contact our customer support department to request it.

Do i need to have a card for local bank transfer? or just bank account?
Also what is the minimum $ for withdrawal?

When receiving payments from a company using our Global Bank Transfer Service you will not need to sign up for a Payoneer card. There is no minimum payment amount, but we will only transfer funds to your bank once you have at least $50 pending to be paid.

Hey,

Some weeks ago I went to my city and inserted my Payoneer card into a ATM, tryed to cashout some money, but I got a message like this:
"Operation Invalid" or in lithuanian "Operacija Negalima".
What shall I do?

Thanks

This sounds like it may have been an issue with the local ATM. I would try again, and if you receive the same error please contact our customer support department so that they can check your detailed transaction history.

Hi Nissim, I have sent you a PM regarding my problem with Payoneer account. Please help. Thanks

That's really great. I have a serious question. :/

I had US payment service in Payoneer account and already verified PayPal with that account number. After some days, my PayPal account got blocked. Then i tried many time to fix my PayPal account, But failed.
Then I make a new PayPal account and tried to use the same account number for verify. But can't. I was really upset. :/
So, my question is: Can i get new US payment account number and routing number for verify my new PayPal account? Hopefully, will get some valuable help from you.

Regards,
Mohammad Reaz

Hi Nissim,

I have a question about fee when withdraw at local ATM and withdraw to local bank. Could you tell me about detail fee of those 2 methods? Which one is more expensive?

Thanks.

Ok, so it is official the Payoneer debit card sucks. After using it yesterday I confirmed that payoneer was charging me fees that I was unaware about. I went to withdraw $2000 and payoneer charged $2016, and the other day I withdrew $2400 and they charged $2446. The same was true for the smaller amounts of withdrawals. So after I was frustrated because I felt I was being robbed I called payoneer support only to find out that this was a fee because the money has to cross boarders, their bank is located in Belise. Now this was info that was located nowhere in the user page or fees page concerning the location of their bank, they do let you know in small letters in the fees page that you can be charged up to 3% per withdrawal for cross boarder, but I doubt anyone sees that.

So then basically to put Payoneers debit card business plan in perspective, they charge you $12.95 to activate the card, reason being they know you will not last long and they need to make as much money as fast as possible from you, then I paid $5 to load the money fast, then $1.00 per withdrawal inquiry and $3.15 per successful withdrawal, and on top of that the $3 fee from the atm (Most reputable banks waive/cover this fee if they have no atm access near the customer, but of course money hungry payoneer will not do that.) After all these fees a lot of customers would have dropped payoneer but no I didn't, until I found out about the 3% fee. WTFF United States is probably where most of payoneer users are from and they are charging a 3% fee!! that was the last straw I switched back to direct deposit and I will switch immediately to an alternative to payoneer.

Despite the fact that I told the rep that payoneer states nowhere the location of their bank so their users can be aware of whether they will be charged with this fees, the rep did not refund those fees as a courtesy (Which is what any service, bank, etc would have done with an angry customer who is right)

There goes my rant, to payoneer I wish you the best of luck because you guys will need it, with your sly and slick ways you will not last very long.
