Payment gateway for adult websites

Hello everyone,

I own several adult websites and have been looking for a VISA/MASTERCARD payment system for the past two years. I've audited around thirty providers but keep getting rejected, either because some of my sites contain content that doesn’t belong to me or because my volume is too low ($20K/month). I've had a payment system for five years now, Stripe, but I live in fear that they might shut down my account.

Do you know of any payment processors that accept without scrutinizing the content too much and without requiring a volume of $1 million per week?

Have you considered using a cloaking solution for your Stripe account? Stealth Stripe account + cloaking is one of the most common setup for this kind of business

This is what we've been doing from the start, we have a safe website that handles payments for adult sites. It's well-coded and has been running for 5 years, but the risk is always there.

It's true, but if it's working for some years, I would keep what it's working
There are some payment gateways, but they are much less popular than Stripe or PayPal, which means that they are not so reliable and you could face problems with them
For example, I've heard about Verotel, it has been active for over twenty years, especially created for adult websites, but the reviews are not great...

It's on my list, Verotel, but it's on the "contact last" list because they take 15% (like EPOCH). Ouch.

There are few, that provide custom merchant accounts for high risk payments and adaptable billing options, they may require specific business models to be approved, like zen payments

You can try Segpay or CCBill. Your Stripe worked great for years, so keep using it. The new ones should be on the backup list.
