pay to click?

A couple of days a freind told me about a guy making $60-$70 per month just by clicking links. I started to research and found that it is possible, but there is a lot of sites, lots of lists (each one trying to get you as referred), and etc. I would like to know your opinions about this and what are the best sites for this. By "best" i mean that uses Paypal but dont require a paypal mail verification (my paypal account is handled by a friend), lots of ads and that allows me to make around 1.00 per day without having to spam the whole internet to get referrals.
