I think he is making medium and reddit as funnels to his money site, it's easier to rank those than his own money site.
Yes This is my plan
Parasite or tier 1 backlink does not really matter to me as long as it ranks, but I might be mistaken as to what the correct term is

If the primary objective is to drive traffic, then disregard whether the parasite is d0follow or not. You need a parasite that ranks well and that's what you should be focused on. Small SEO benefits for your money site are irrelevant in this case.
Very logical I like that. Any suggestions other than medium or reddit? May I ask for your suggestions?

Just check some random hack/crack keywords and see what ranks. Easiest way to do it, no need to reinvent the wheel.

Is this in general boss? I still see some parasite pages ranking, but mostly in hack niche though. Not just sure if how long they last.

Have a look at Steemit as that has been used fairly recently for parasite pages and can handle the kind of backlinking one would do to a parasite page.

How do we do the link building with these parasite pages? Could we use those free instant backlink makers? How about the profile links and some forum comments?

Parasite pages can handle a much more aggressive off site SEO approach than a newer domain one is trying to rank. With a newer domain I don't like to hit it with a ton of SEO but rather build up the level of intensity (link velocity) as that looks more natural and is common sense SEO in my opinion and experience.
A Parasite page is typically a part of a huge "conglomerate" site and typically already has a ton of off site SEO linking in so to go full bore, or close to full bore with your off site and be very aggressive is more the way to approach it.
Do understand this though that a lot of parasite pages won't maintain their rankings for ages so that can be more of a short term play and you may be build them on a regular (and you probably should even if you are building "regular" sites) as part of your overall IM strategy if site ranking is part of how you make your living on line.
Will you recommend using parasite seo for newbies?
Also, since medium is able to be designated as a cannonical to my original link, wont any backlinks from my specific medium article be considered as backlinks to the original post?

I don't mess with Medium too often so I don't know their site all that well... in fact I'm not sure the last time I looked at that site.
Parasite SEO is probably a good place for someone with little SEO experience to learn as it is tough to make a mistake linking to that kind of page.
Thanks for that. I really appreciate knowledgeable people sharing. What website will you use as parasite if given the chance? By the way, can I ask where do you get most of your traffic? Black hat seo or white hat?
