Recently I started my first churn and burn project in over a year, and as luck would have it, the server hosting the project crashed and the files got corrupted. Seeing as I didn't have a back-up and the support at Arvixe couldn't do anything about it, I've decided to add a twist to my project. I've been eyeing a certain obscure web 2.0 domain for a while with really good on-site metrics, and I've figured this is as good of a time as any to test the platform out as a parasite. So I made an account on the site, copied my landing pages over, and redirected the domain to it, along with hundreds of thousands of links pointing at my churn and burn domain.

I'll be tracking my expenditures and net profit along with the rankings for this project

Keywords
KW 1: 90500 m/s
KW 2: 135000 m/s
KW 3: 14800 m/s
KW 4: 74000 m/s

Rankings are nowhere to be seen, as I only did this today

Planned Tools

Ahrefs
Serpbook
GSA SER + CB + Recaptcha
Catch-all cPanel emails
Instantlinkindexer
SSD Windows VPS
50 semi-private proxies
WAC

(In case a push is needed)
Speedrank

Link Structure

Parasite <- Original Money Site <- PR 2 Domain from PBN <- 1 bit.ly and 1 tinyURL + Unfiltered spam <- Unfiltered spam to the shorteners (10% main anchor 40% LSI)

Links in Ahrefs 29k on the bit.ly, 27k on the tinyURL, 61000 links directly at the PR2 domain

~75% of the links are d0follow

I use all d0follow platforms that are indexable, pass link juice, and don't use pages (no exploits, url shorteners, etc). Contextual links use Main keyword/LSI anchors and noncontextual links are sent with generics or raw URL anchors.

Total spent on project: $9.99 domain + $40 worth of mass blog posts = $49.99

Net profit: -$49.99

I'm going to wait a week or two to see if the parasite pops up in the top 300 for my keywords. If so, I'll drip blast the parasite directly with some nice, high authority SAPE links

glad to hear you're taking action! be sure to update on the results! subbed

Curious to see how this goes...keep us updated

"as I didn't have a back-up" jeeez that hurts :( always have backups trust me you safe yourself a lot of headaches - good luck with your journey. Chum and burn is interesting never was able to put it to good use myself - played around with some tumblr blogs and instagram accounts but when it comes to Google I try to build more of a steady income stream (as far as possible with big G) keep us updated! ;)

The site was only up for 5 weeks and unfortunately I wanted to wait until I finished dripping out content this week before hitting the "Duplicator" button :(

At least you didn't loose that much? I lost a site myself because of server crash and did not have any backup lesson learned the hard way

Spamming site directly definitely increases the usage of bandwidth and all that stuff. Happened to me a lot when I was spamming sites present on shared hosting server... Then I moved to spamming web2.0's just like you :D

Anyway subscribed. Sounds good.

A lesson well learned for the future, hahahaha

The page has gotten indexed, unfortunately there's no sign of it in the SERPs yet

First sign of SERP movement today: KW #2 has appeared at #238

A 9900 m/s buyer keyword just popped into existence at #153

Subscribed to this good luck man Im also trying a web 2.0 property at the moment just indexed as well for a smaller keyword 3600 but we will see how this goes!

Been hammering the 301 with spam for a while and the parasite hasn't moved. I've gone ahead and bought 20 PR 4 and 5 PR5 links on SAPE to give it a boost

Anyways, rankings do take a bit of time. Just spamming the hell out of anything is going to give nothing even for a shorter period of 20 days.
