Is it bad idea to use pagination for articles (the article divided on 1,2,3,4 parts)?
I do it because:
1) to get more views on adsense ads. When a user first sees my article, the ads not showing. Because of new adsense algorithm (they dropped ads on little visited pages). But my CTR is bad.
2) to increase load speed on page, especially on mobile.

For earning more from Adsense - yes
For SEO purpose - no

Let's think what is more profitable for you, then choose proper one.

About load speed:
Less code template + lazy load will give you much better results than use pagination.

Cheers, Greg.

Why no? I use canonical metategs. It shows that site.com/article is original then site.com/article/2/, site.com/article/3/

Because:

1) keywords ratio on page
2) possible keywords options
3) duplicate title

By reasons above, "canonical" not working here so good and not as you think.
"canonical" is useful, when you have same text on pages, but for example other sorting in table.

In mentioned case - it allow avoid duplicate content issues.

Cheers, Greg.

I don't understand this.
But for adsense it is better to use pagination?

1) keywords ratio on page
Does it necessary to have long read article for ranking keywords?
2) possible keywords options
What do you mean?
3) duplicate title
I have on every part of article title like "How to learn Spanish | Page 2 of 9" "How to learn Spanish | Page 3 of 9" Is it duplicate?

Pagination generating more views,
where for each view, Google can display other ads, as the results it can generate more clicks / higher income.

If you have for an example list of expired domains, it can be sorted by many metrics, but the content still is same (except table),
here "canonical" is useful.

PAGINATION vs SINGLE PAGE

On page 1 you have keywords x1 x2
On page 2 you have keywords x3 x4

When Google searcher will input "x1 x2 x3"
no one of your paginated pages including all of this keywords - as the results, your pages will be omitted by Google.

For this reason pagination is not good for the SEO,
because SINGLE article generating much more keywords possibilities.

... "How to learn Spanish | Page 2 of 9" "How to learn Spanish | Page 3 of 9" ...
When somebody just enter "site:domain.com" in Google, each page will be filled by parts of single article, and by this - not useful at all.

Cheers, Greg

That I don`t understand. What's expired domain that got to do with it?

You mean keywords which are present in "How to learn Spanish | Page 2 of 9" "How to learn Spanish | Page 3 of 9" will be not ranked in google serp? Because google omitte paginated parts of my article? I don` t understand. If my pages like site.com/article/2/, site.com/article/3/ will be indexed by google, so some keywords in 2,3,4,5 parts of article will be ranked?

Yes but adsense CTR will be small. Maybe it is bad signal for adsense account.
