I think a point that people are missing here is that PR depends on more than the PR being shuffled into the site or that even the age of a backlink affects the amount of PR passed.
Think of Domain Authority and Domain Age as a multiplier for PR. The PR gets diluted, but then multiplied by the DA's.
I have a 55 page tech site that according to majestic SEO has the following:
Domain age 4(its really 5) years, 520 links, 75 referring domains, citation flow of 40 and a trust flow of 39. The site is all original articles written by me except for a few guest authored pages.
The home page is PR5, there are 4 PR 4 pages (including my privacy policy, gotta fix that) and 31 PR3's, a few 2's and ones, and the rest are N/A.
Everyone who has looked at this site asks me how I am faking the PR, but the truth is that I pay no attention to it at all.
Since I have done very little backlinking, these are mostly nattural links. This site was my hobby site before I got into IM, and I didn't know anything about anything, I just built an adsense site around something I knew about.
Link wise, i have 1 PR 6, and most of the rest are PR 3 and down.
If all that affects PR is the amount of PR pouring into it, there is no way it would be a PR5 site.
