Hi all, so i acquired a very good EMD domain name, but im a little shaky on what page title to use?

Lets say the domain is VEGASPLUMBING.COM. Should i call the website VEGAS PLUMBING or a branded name such as SPEEDYPLUMB.COM OR DIALAPLUMBER.COM ?

Can you see what i mean from an SEO point of view? I dont want to over optimize my site.

Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would stick with Vegas Plumbing or something like Vegas Plumbing Services for the page title. No harm in that.

Obviously sub pages would be specific to the service or content.

What about citations in backlinks? Every citation or backlink will be linked vegasplumbing.....is that how over optimization happens? Or is the on page thats the problem?

I would not worry about the links, just use a bunch of click heres, empty space, read more to dilute them. I would probably do that with some high TF services on BHW.

I suppose it's a service website we're talking about. And it seem you're going for the local rankings. That's why it's best to stick with the Vegas Plumbing ("Service" as suggested above) and not introduce any brands in the title. This can confuse Google and neither your exact match keyword or brand name will do well. My point is don't mix two strategies from the beginning. You went for the exact match local keyword domain so just stick with that until you get some rankings and some traffic.

OK thanks for your help. EMD it is then. :)

They seem to be really working very well at the moment and if you can get one with decent metrics, they have a great boost in the serps. Just add some really good content, sort out your on page and internal linking and you should see some nice movement, add a few decent general links and a couple of PBN links and you should rank nicely.

Just don't rush it with the link building. Content and see how it goes, then slowly add links.

EMD still do work. Just make sure that you don't over-optimize your main keyword.

Good luck
