I appreciate your full detailed reply.
That dog toy you listed you just need a padded envelope nothing else nothing more. It will be fine inside of that. You don't need half the materials you list there for that product.
Right, I´ve done research before this thread and I know what you´re talking about: http://prntscr.com/lvqdq1
Considering that the Alibaba dog toy has the following measurements:
Unfortunately, they haven´t given what system they´re using, we have to guess that it´s 20cm in length and 6.5cm in height? width?
The "Warensendung Kompakt" for 1.30€ seems like the one needed. It has 15cm in height and all these "envelopes" have the same length and width, at least that´s what I can read from them.
Below, there is also the business bulk ordering option, but that´s for a potentially later scale.
This DHL website is JUST for the stamp, the envelope needs to be ordered elsewhere. (https://www.deutschepost.de/de/w/warensendung.html)
Some of the things being sold on eBay tend to fall under the following:
1. Is shipped from China by a seller in China using your countries postcode to mask it.
2. People sell at a loss and don't last 12 months
3. People sell at a loss on 1 product in the hope they buy something else.
4. Sell a product on eBay but in the packet you get, you get leaflets to their own website OR sometimes they sell flyer 'space' for another product. So in effect Junk mail which will cover the cost of posting.
1. Noticed that when I´ve done my research. There was a seller who provided free shipping to Germany and a pretty cheap USA shipping, which is basically not achievable from Germany. When you scrolled down on the product page and click on the shipping settings, he stated he´s shipping from Germany, but in his profile, his position was China ^^
2. /
3. and 4. doesn´t seem like a spread method, at least I haven´t heard much about it.
If you do research posting costs will drop depending on the courier and volume you post - it's not easy but it can be done.
Yeah, already done it and I´ve found some alternative shipping providers, but DHL is "the most trustworthy and practicable".
Moreover, if I decide to just ship in Germany and this padded envelope works (I hope the website and envelope I´ve talked about before is the one you meant), I don´t need to search for a cheaper shipping option, because 1.30€ would be a pretty fair and manageable price
IF this works out as you stated.
I would go to auctions and buy liquidated stock and flip it on eBay, look on your local free ads or site that offers free items or even in the local paper, pick up the free items and list them on eBay even for €2 its more on something that's cost you €0
Dog toys - if you wanted to sell them I would find local auctions by you that deal in liquidated stock, in a local auction by me a box of 50 dog toy items sold for less than €6 after fees and tax!
OR alternative is to look at discount stores anything that someone sells for €1 or €2 or less and sell that online.
A real good one for this time of year is to buy 25Kg sacks of bird food (tend to cost here around £12 - 14 in discount stores). Break that down into some brown paper bags into weights of 250g.
Take photos and list it as 'plastic free bird food' upsell in description plastic free everything 100% recyclable etc, good for environment etc etc quality bird seed to keep wild birds fed over winter. I sell that for £2.30 a small bag.
It's about £9.20 per KG I make. £230 from 1 bag of bird food sold to people who don't like plastic and want to save the environment!

FREE Idea there and for the forum.
I´ve actually read a comment below a YouTube video where someone explained his "short journey", which is basically getting cheap / free items from craigslist and selling them on Amazon or E-Bay.
I appreciate your trick concerning these "penny offers" or "local auctions", but I want to start a proper E-Bay and/or Amazon journey.
Thanks for the bird trick, sounds like a pretty neat technique

But probably I´m gonna dig more into the Amazon and/or E-Bay selling.
BTW: Are you selling on E-Bay and/or Amazon yourself? (Besides the bird food)
