It depends how big you are.
Just look at piratebay, they are being hunted down all around the world.
You have to realize that hollywood and the government are BFF's, they do whatever the **** they want and break any law they want.
Same goes for software.
Hollywood brings the government money and influence (voters)....
Just look at presidential inaugurations.... the last one looked like the freaking MTV Music Awards.
You think that's a coincidence?

Yeh well governments will do whatever they want of course they can get away with such things ....
I have seen watch movies online websites and mp3 downloads songs being taken down by fbi but lots are still online , a couple of them caught my eye:

Since the state can't sue you for copyright (as far as I know), it depends on the copyright owners and how much money are they ready to blow chasing you.
Get an old .ru domain with private registration and host from Russia with love.
