Over Optimization Penalty Launched Today

This simply cannot be the end of this update! It's far too f**ked up! :rolleyes:

For anyone who has been hit, have you noticed changes relative in GWT search queries or would that take some time to level out anyway?

I've read through all 14 pages of this thread and there are some great posts but what's still so confusing is that we are still little clearer on what the hell is going on!

UTTERLY BAFFLING! :confused:

The #1 result for "python hosting" without quotes is still a txt file that only says "OK" in it. No hint of HTML in the document. It just says OK. I was expecting to see some improvements in the SERPS this morning. I was wrong. :(
 
ok here's one hitter...

I just typed in "mywebname" in google searchbox and guess what?

The results shows other results!

Google's algo is a total shit. Not only that it dropped my rankings, it doesn't even recognize my site's name (not url - but hxxp://[mywebname].com).

what's wrong with google???

and what's even better?

2 site's on the results page has pages with contents copied from my site! UNBELIEVABLE!!! TOTAL SHIT!!!

I have created original contents for my site and the copycats outranked me???

GOOGLE SHIT UPDATE!!!

You mean density? Could be, amongst a number of other things.
 
According to Matt Cutts on Twitter, he states less than 10 hours ago - @dannysullivan Searchmetrics data is a weekly diff & includes a Panda data refresh, so sites going up/down mostly aren't due to algo update.

If we take that literally means all of this was a Panda update and not the over optimization penalty...
 
Man, this has hit me hard. I've had my top money site de-indexed for not meeting googles 'quality' guidelines

Whatever it is that Google released is a joke. So much shit has floated to the top of the toilet. Time for Google to flush this update bye bye.
 
My website has only moved up in the serps for its keywords since the last algorithm changes.
 
This is not a panda update/weekly update or anything, those posts on twitter were made quite a few days ago, way before the new update announcement was made.
 
Ehi guys, SEO has become like gambling. I'm going to switch to viral traffic.
