Over Optimization Penalty Launched Today

Google won't rank any site, except ones that are spending on Adwords. Only sites with no links can be ranked in first few months, but this probably won't last for a long time, since a good site would get some links over time.

Even if you could use web 2.0. it seems like poor spun content for backlinks doesn't index at all, i guess in future properly sentence level spun content will be of no use as well. So probably the only way to make buffers would be to write or pay someone to write proper content, with no grammar errors. For 2000 web 2.0 it would costs $10000.

Since you cannot use web 2.0's and other places to spam, nor spinning, then only way is to build a blog network. But this isn't a safe way as well. It is probably pretty easy for google to crack it down as well.

One of my clients is spending a 5 figure sum every month on Adwords and his site just takes a dump out of the top 100. No site is safe even if you are using Adwords.

I see someone complaining on Google's Webmaster Central blog about ranks for the keyword "python hosting."

It is not keyword stuffing for sure since the only words on the destination page are OK! LOL

And the HTML source only has the word OK in it. No title tag, description or anything else. :D
True quality and deserving of being ranked #1 for sure! Go Google go!!!! :cheer2:

Looks like Google want sites with no content and no links (considering that picture and the result you get when you google "make money online".

This update only has done me good. I geuss doing everything by hand without relying on mostly spun articles pays off.

Well that's only if you are making bank. If you moved up from page 4 to page 2 and earning pennies doing things manualy then i would rather blast a site and earn big for 3 months than counting pennies.

Has nothing to do with anything, several people on this thread are doing just that and have fallen off, but we have seen Garbage sites improve.... Oh wait....

You obviously missed the part that said "over the next several days we're rolling out updates"

If my main site hadn't dropped I still would not have said the same thing, every last one of my new sites increased and even some older ones... but I'm not so naive or stupid to think that manual work will save me.

Isn't that cool. And the blank blogspot site for 'make money online' which was on #10 last night is for me now on #1. Was probably viewed thousands of times since yesterday, so Google moved them from #10 to #1:

And Shoemoney now ranks #5 for 'new shoes', along with other irrelevant sites about homeless kids - that's what I'd like to find when I'm about to buy a new pair of sneakers...

You only earned 4000EUR in a whole year of doing SEO?
You should probably move onto a real job.

Thats a bit disrespectful. The fact he earned that much already puts him among the 5% who have taken action and earned something online. Now its just about keep working until that money increases and snowballs. Not many people starting off was making BIG earnings right off. First $1 a day, then $10 a day then $50 a day etc....until you hit big earnings.

I only have few sites all have gained placements (SO FAR) except one site that has adsense on it which dropped about 5 positions whether this is due to other sites out ranking me I'm not sure, but I've removed them anyhow. This is obviously multi phased so no one can be certain there safe, whatever is happening at the moment Google must of anticipated the chaos in search results so its safe to assume i think that we will see a lot of movements over the next 24-48 hrs before they reach their final objectives.
Google obviously have a new business agenda this isn't as they suggest for user quality, there end game is money orientated I'm think there long term looking to replace Amazon and others and remove as many affiliate sites, as possible but I'm probably wrong
I've spent today culling my OBL, reducing keyword density on site and re checking coding

What is exactly your strategy MarryJane?

In short:

Most of my sites are review sites with a lot of good quality content. On average these sites have 10 Articles with 750 words based on the niche without a the specific keyword phrase but very niche relevant. Then throughout that I have 5 Articles which are keyword optimized. As for my first tier backlinking I have created a lot of high quality WEB 2.0 accounts which more or less have all unique content, I took the time to rewrite the articles whenever I posted them by hand, added pictures and videos, the accounts all have multiple posts and don't get deleted. As for my general anchor technique I use about 40% Keyword Anchor 20% Niche Related Anchor 20% Irrelevant Anchor (Click Here, Read Review, View This...etc). Then for my article directory submissions I used unique articles too, non spun and very high quality, these are about 15 submissions to high PR directories like Ezine.

I did a lot more than that ofcourse and this only mainly sums up the core of my first tier. My sites weren't ranking very well since the competition simply was doing better seo, but today I woke up and I read about the changes and then I see that most of my rankings went up like this overnight hxxp//i.imgur.cxm/wCY0O.png

If your site gets hit like the rest, just how mad will that make you? :)
All of that manual work. poof

Well my main site has already had a lot of keywords drop in rankings, but today I checked rankings and I've been mega ass raped by Google. Out of all my keywords I'm only ranking on page 1 for 1 keyword and it's moved from position #1 to #7. All other keywords I was ranking well for are like position 200 or N/A.

Damn Really?

lol put em in their place!

Half of the sites never held good positions for long so I did not expect them to recover the way they did, if they would dissapear it wouldn't be much of a loss but I understand your point.

I will keep the rankings updated in the thread if it keeps active.

I am gonna delete my content as soon as possible. Anyway i will offer content deleting service in BST section. I will team-up with nouptime.com. They have been in web hosting business since 1974.

hahaha this really made me laugh, lets just see what happens in a few days

A site I made 3 weeks ago, made some manual links to, and then blasted with about 2500 web 2.0s (first tier) 150 youtube videos (embedded) and a lot of manual high PR blog posts during this time (plus press releases with the first tier web 2.0s) just jumped on an insanely profitable keyword (10k/day profit with low capital outlay)
It's #6

Tier 2 consisted of a link wheel with 1 link to each web 2.0 or PR (random) one link to an authority page and 1 link to another random blog post... then blasted with tier 3

Churn and Burn, churn and burn.

hahahaha G fished my business. I have no choice left apart from getting involved again into Adwords. :(

Dang my ranking went 69 from # 2

Use Facebook Ads, or some other Ad network.

Much better targeting anyway, and the support is just as non-existent as in Google.

Please don't give your money to Google or their $10 a click platform.
