Of course I know how banks work. You put in your money, it doubles in three days because of interest, and then you withdraw it and buy dimestore hookers.
I believe that A*OL used a similar scam back in the 80's. Suckered tens of thousands of people to "try" their services for free. The second month would start charging them even if they canceled. Continued to take out their monthly fees for another six or so months. Then took six months to refund their money. To their shareholders they looked like they were growing and were being profitable and suckered more people to purchase their stocks. They built a multi-million dollar business out of this.
A few years ago they used a twist on this to arbitrage and sucker Times to trade their almost worthless stock for theirs and took over Times for awhile. I guess the moral to the story is if you do it on a grand enough scale you just might get away with it.
But poor joe's like us we would end up in jail.
Of course banks were more stable during this time period. Now, I wouldn't invest any money in a bank. Too many of them just hanging on. (waiting for their payday with the bailout)
Of course you could try semi=legal and find a company in China to sell you very cheap knock-offs of the Ifone and sell it. Pay about $5 for them, have a dropshipper do all the work for another $5, pay s/h at another $5 and still keep $70 or so bucks.
I guess, if my bank decides to double my investment in 3 days, i'm taking out a loan for 10mil, and putting it in savings, then paying off the loan after 3 days and keeping the change!!..
