Is there any refund in ORM services?
When you worked hard and spent too much money for the project but the client did get what needed yet
Would you ask for more money to complete the project
what if the client ask for refund
what would you do?

Not if I promised to fulfill a goal or service at the price given in the first place, if you sell someone a link and you can't get it for them you cannot then charge more afterward due to it taking you more work than anticipated, same goes here, whether or not you ask for more comes down to the arrangement you had in the first place, just make the right choice and do what is fair.

Did they get the results or service they were promised and paid to receive?

If not, refund them as that is the right thing to do.

It all goes to the contract between buyer and seller.

Look, its quite simple: You sell a service and come up with a price. It is your responsibility to calculate how much money is needed and what needs to be done. You find a customer who is willing to pay this price for a service and he expects you to deliver what you offered.

But you can't or shouldn't change the price in the process, except you didn't state so beforehand. If the client asks for a refund, you should refund him, especially if you didn't deliver. From a customers perspective it doesn't matter how much money or time you spent, because you offered a service and he paid for it. He did his part.

If you can't get the job done, don't offer the service in the first place. If you miscalculate the price, don't expect your customer to pay more.

Like others mentioned, its up to you. Did you include it in your terms or not. I have general t&c that include refund if the invoiced tasks were not fulfilled; doesn't mention I need to provide the results the client had in mind but it also makes me liable if I didn't even move a finger.

Would you ask for more money to complete the project
Its called a variation, only happens in two instances 1) when the client asked for more for the same project so rather than issuing a new quote we simply add an additional variation cost on top of the original on-going project. 2) force majeure clause invoked. Again this depends on your contract, and can happen for more than those two instances.

what if the client ask for refund
Did you promise a refund if you can't get their online rep right? if no contract was involved you are in a tough place because not many people honor customary codes.

what would you do?
Get the task done on your own budget, if you want to keep the client. Make a better contract, protect yourself and your business.

Can you please send me a contract example

ORM can be tricky and I've worked in the industry for 11 years. Sometimes you just cant get results for whichever reason. Being transparent with the client is important and you should have margins baked in to make up for a rare miss.

When I have clients asking for more (way more) of what was agreed, I rather refund.
Those are NEVER good clients. So better move on with more suitable projects.

it really shows you have no idea to what you are doing if you cant even estimate the price correctly ,if i were you i would swallow the extra cost and put it down to experience rather than risk a bad review, you may even get that money back from the client in future if he feels you know what you are doing .

It depends.
If you promised something and didn't deliver, no.

If a client wants a 'promised service' , they need to pay for EXACTLY the professional recommends

no refund situation:
i have clients that come to me all the time with their own ideas and directions for my business/team to follow. I have no problem with this as many are very knowledgeable and know exactly what they need. Therefore the exchange is as simple as a purchase and no guarantee needed. I would not refund for something where I'm not the captain of the ship.

refund situation:
Now if a client came to me with specific needs and I told them "This is what you hve to do. Pay $X,XXX" and I will get you these results for sure. And in this situation I'm the captain of the ship/plan, and the plan fails, then i would consider giving a refund if it were CLEARLY a fail.
