I am creating my new ecommerce store, checked and read all the options online and so far i am deciding with shopify, do you recommend it?
i saw its a bit hard to change the tags for seo purposes, someone has experience with shopify and success on seo?

any help and tips will be much appreciated.

if you have zero coding experience, go with shopify.
If you have some experience, go with magento.

Thanks, i have some coding experience, but shopify looks more simple and easy to use and customize (yes expensive)
the main question is if its good for seo purposes?

hope someone can help me decide

With Magento, not only its free, but you can customize from head to toe. And yes, this apply to SEO factors too.
If you have some coding experience, I am not sure why you are holding yourself back.

As someone who knows ecommerce solutions like the back of my hand (I worked for one of the major players), go with Magento, by far your best option!

Use Wordpress with Woocommerce. I use it on a site I'm developing and its working great for me.

I'm a bit out of the online store game, but is no one using osCommerce anymore?!

Magento is great if you need the flexibility and feel confident in setting it up and securing it (assuming you want to take credit cards the site must be PCI compliant). I recommend 3DCart and BigCommerce. Both are hosted solutions (they cost more than Magento) and are less flexible. But both will allow you to put up a high quality site in hours. Also, both have excellent SEO features built-in and are compliant off the shelf.

osCommerce is still one of the best choices around. Magento is great -- but it takes a lot of space, and some hosts dont like it on shared accounts due to the resources it can use. If your going to be doing millions, Magento cant be beat. osCommerce 2.3 has some great seo options as well. Both are good choices, I install and use both for customers. No matter which one you use, make sure you use all the security recommendations out there.

how about shopify? someone tested? what do you think about it?
so far deciding between wordpress woocommerce and shopify for my first store

it doesn't matter what you choose as long as you have three things:

-a call to action on the product page that says "buy now"

-a one page checkout that lets people do it without making an account

-a checkout page that has tons of badges, seals, locks, blah blah. it needs to look like moamar ghadaffi's vest

these three things are the key to making sales in my opinion, they have worked very well for me

Yes but need SEO :) to bring traffic and sales, so the question is if for example if shopify is good for seo as i see is not that easy there to change descriptions, titles etc.
as wordpress that has many plugins.

I've set up a number of WooCommerce wordpress sites. They are really easy to set up and are highly customizable as well. I have no experience with magento so I can't give a relative experience. You can't go wrong with WooCommerce though I'll toss my vote that way.

I have had experience with a client using Shopify - don't use it. All the images were hosted off his page and it is not an optimal solution SEO wise.

YES. I have a Shopify store and it is grand. Well worth the money. I am on the $30 a month plan.

The problem with Wordpress based shopping cart is that Wordpress can be easily hacked and all it takes is one hacking for you to loose your entire business. If you are serious about your ecommerce storefront invest in a REAL shopping cart, not some add-on hack job to a blogging platform.
