OpenCart vs Wordpress?

@I know SEO bit off topic here - but since Magento has come up, do you have any suggestions for rich snippets modules?

That's one of the recommended ones I came across, so I'd guess so. Just google "OpenCart vers# robots.txt" and you'll get lots of options.

Hey guys, do you know where I can find some of the main plugins free, because the prices vary from $25-60 and I would need a couple of them?

My advise will be that to choose Joomla , get some great plug-ins (better than wordpress with woocommerce) .

I might consider it in the future, but now I chose to try Opencart probably. Searching for some good plugins now.

I have always used wordpress, but I find the ecommerce plugins mostly terrible to deal with, so I went with opencart for my bhw services website store.

If you're creating a legitimate store, I'd suggest just bucking up and buying them, instead of trying to find nulled/pirated copies of the same plugins.

Ideally, which OpenCart plugins can you suggest and which theme are you using? How delighted are you with the features provided by the platform and do you have experience with WooCommerce?

Hi, buying the plugins is always a good idea, especially when building a legitimate store. However, in the beginning of every project I prefer not to spend money that can be saved, you never know.. Of course, after being on the market for a certain amount of time, it is always better to buy the plugins and pay the developers what they deserve.

I was wondering if you can give some insights about Opencart and plugins

This is an old post but it still comes up when searching so maybe people will still find it.
Wordpress and woocommerce are easy to setup if you have simple products or not many variations/options for each. If you have products with many different size & color or other options it can be a night mare in woocommerce. People say just use the bulk update or import export scripts which again is fine if you have simple products.

I moved an opencart site to woocommerce and each product had different colors and a couple clamp sizes that had like 17 - 20 options each. These options are easy to copy to new products or existing products in opencart. When you export from woocommerce to update you get a csv file with over a 1k lines becasue a variation for each possible option has to be created. There are tricks to doing it but if you have a lot of prodcucts with a lot of options its very time consuming in wordpess but open-cart is designed for these products but you may need a few plugins.

I have posted in the woocommerce groups and forums and sent many requestes to woocommerce but have never found an easy way to update products where you need to include many option choices.

However, I think you have more seo options in wordpress than opencart and that is what I was search for info on today. In wordpress I can install a plugin to optimize all my images, use seo plugins like rankmath and wp-rocket to get everything loading fast. I haven't used opencart much lately but have never seen many seo plugins but will have to look again. All they had for many years were seo urls but you need a lot more than that these days.

I would use WordPress.

Opencart is best for ecommerce solution go for it

After looking around there is now better seo plugins and plugins to minify, gzip etc so I will stick with opencart.
I have a site with products that have 3 options, 1st option 3 choices, 2nd option 17 choices, 3rd option 17 choices.
Try setting all those products up in wordpress, I have done it in wordpress and opencart and worpress took a few days as opposed to an hour so it depends on your products. I use both, depends on the product, you can't just use one for all.
