Hello guys so Ive recently seen on some Facebook groups some people offering TV programs ( Subscription Based Service ) . For Example Offering German Television Programs to people who work abroad in other countries like London etc .
The way it works : You need to have a Smart TV > You pay the subscription to them > they give you some CODE > and boom you have all German TV programs !
I tested one of those services and they work perfectly !
My question is how do they do that ? Most often this are individuals who are offering those TV services so how do they do it ? They have like a server or what ? I would like to know as much as possible about this method .

I'm no expert, but I would assume they operate by having you download an app to your smart tv (or using a website portal), that connects you to their centralised servers which in turn have local access to the German (or whatever countries) TV networks.

Probably wouldn't be that hard to recreate these days.

and how do they gain access to german television ?

I would expect there are a couple ways to do it. Some TV networks offer web players (like BBC iplayer for example), all you need is a german IP to access one of those networks and that is how they have access to the content. Alternatively, smart Tvs are pretty sophisticated these days, you could quite easily create custom firmware that streams the tv content to a server. Ultimately though, they will either have a location that is physically in Germany, or they will use a german IP, either from a data center, residential proxy, or something along those lines.
