Online Tools Based Website Ranking in Google

I'm building an online tools-based website, What are your best tips and strategies for ranking a website packed with online tools in Google search results?

Does it demand a high domain authority or other specific prerequisites?

if there are other sites like yours in top 5 you'll probably need authority (lots of strong backlinks) to beat them.

Additionally, you might also need a great silo and chasing after long tail keywords, and also get constant traffic from other sources until you have a few 100s people using your tools weekly, so I think promoting your site on forums and on UGC sites (reddit, pinterest, quora, etc) will help...

Also consider black hat stuff (doorway pages, CTR boosting, etc) if the other methods don't work...

It all depends on competition if you are going to build a tools website like PDF to Word etc then its a huge competition ahead because giants are ranked everywhere unless you have a better script with the fastest speed.

But, if the niche is medium competitive like Calculators then I suggest moving to a sub niche like Pregnancy Calculator or Water intake Calculator, and in this niche, you can easily rank with a proper topical cluster and right backlinks strategy. Once you rank the micro niches successfully then move to macro and dominate the ranking with your preferred tools.
