I'm a newbie here but I'm not when it comes to this subject. I'm an OG member and affiliate from the same network that spawned the career of Odd Future, and boosted the likes of Lil B, Wiz Khalifa, Kreyshawn, ect. I know what it takes to get there first hand and I'm trying to build my own network. This is definitely something I'm trying to do. If you're serious about this I'm definitely down.

How is this project coming along? I would be very interested. I am also an artist and one could never get enough promotion so please feel free to contact me, thanks.

Actually I switched attorneys in the last few days

i have contacts in the music biz but just exactly how are we going to get anything legally established if we are all in different countries?

Well, let me tell you what's been going on since I made this thread, I have legal representation regarding entertainment I ended up with 2 law firms

The reason for that is a lot of attorneys rather just do contract paperwork rather then getting there hands dirty with the hustle and bustle so I had to seek the right law firm for the job which I did find to get music in placements etc.

Now with your question when you set up a LLC you get what you called stock shares, you can always sell stock shares of the company to people who actively investing or a asset to the business in general but I do encourage everyone to hire there own legal representation, no matter what country your in.

interesting, if it's hot I'm going to jump in if I can help.

Regarding beats, one of my friends makes really good Hip Hop beats in my opinion, if I see that it fits with one artist, I'll tell him to provide some further beats or make a new one. The good thing is, this guy is reallly passionate about the stuff he does, just like we are with internet marketing.

Regarding promotion, I can let my assistant upload torrents with the software that is provided here, especially in Germany.

Other then that, an YouTube view specialist would be awesome.

Keep the artist's coming :P
In my taste, some alternative rock is appreciated.

////-> Ahh I forget, I know this girl. Actually, she has a GREAT voice, and she is already involved in a lot of things. But there's maybe one thing to take in consideration: She's wants to study management, and she already takes courses :P if you know what I mean..

Guess what? I just checked now, because I haven't for a while = She has gained naturally 220.000 views and has uploaded a lot of new songs.

Somebody that I used to know - Camilla Daum (Gotye Cover) (( simply woooow )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwgsX7HeXIE

Lego House (Ed Sheeran) - Camilla Daum ( 70.000 natural views, the 12 ratings are possibly from bad friends from town who hate )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7diYYS-9738

Very flexible voice, imagine in studio quality
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RyOOIaQO34

TRACY CHAPMAN - Fast Car == 22.500 views + 280 likes out of 300
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1vTf0zv4Ls

What you think about this girl?
Should I hit her up about this next time I see her?
I think it's worth it.
Or am I to optimistic :P ?

@ albaniax My personal opinion is this she can def carry a tune...and of course she def has a look is she a strong singer I didn't hear anything that showed her range HOWEVER! that really doesn't matter because nowadays there's no real aretha franklin ,patti labelles out there.

The biggest question is stage performance if she can perform live then she can sale a record with what she has let me show u take someone like Britney Spears she's not that strong vocal wise to me, however her stage performance allows you to take your mind away from her not being that strong vocally.

I don't think finding talent will be the issue with this, the biggest issue with this is, selling 10-20k downloads in Itunes with No! radio play currently Radio is still the number 1 leading source for advertising music because if it wasn't Labels wouldn't put marketing dollars behind it.

Today most if not all labels want artist to be pre package meaning selling records before there signed, and the reason for that is they look at it like this we have more people wanting to be artist today and beating down our door then us searching for artist so they can let them weed themselves out.

Whichever unknow artist show up on the billboards charts without the help of labels they instantly say WHO THE HELL!!! is selling records without the help from us bring them to us FIND i THEM! i mean it's logical to think if you can sell 10k units in your home town then it's safe to say that 10k people will love your material somewhere else.

Won`t need radio play if you can get them on peoples facebook, twitter or tumblr viral sharing of a youtube video - friday didn`t get radio play still made plenty for rebecca black

I def agree, but this where the problem comes in with that Viral doesn't really show how many records this person will sell I'll give u a great example.

17 million views

Guess how much he sold first week http://www.sohh.com/2011/04/soulja_boy_on_deandre_way_poor_sales_i_s.html

Last November, Soulja Boy turned heads after selling just over 13,000 copies of his third solo album in its first-week.

13,000 LOL don't let viral fool you when it comes to music it hurts more then it helps, pretty much what happens is this. You allow consumers to see what what song your chose for the representation of the album once they see the visuals they can determine if it's hot or not before buying.

CHECK THIS OUT
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WJFjXtHcy4

She got a deal based on her youtube views, HOWEVER! don't be surprised if she flops

http://hiphopmusicnew.com/kreayshawn-signs-to-columbia-records/

Labels think 30 million views is a clear indication that people actual like the artist when really all it means is she had good youtube marketing and the chorus was catchy enough for people to want to check it out, not that they wanna buy it purchasing music from a artist you like takes way more energy then clicking a mouse to watch a youtube video.

I know these guys who has made ghost production for Alex Kunnari and other artists and working with Darude. Kunnaris track have been hammered by Tiesto and other insanely big DJs over the world. And everyone knows Sandstorm. Hit me up and they are in. I also have straight contact to Universal Music Scandinavia as ive released songs through them and have frequent meetings with the CEO and A&Rs.

Whats up guys is this project still going ahead?
If so drop me a PM.. I have been active in the Music Bizz for over 6 years working for an A-list US Hiphop Artist..

Green Goblin,

If you need any real artists let me know. I am one of the best white rappers this world has ever seen. No joke.

I wish I had someone to make me some real beats :(

I have a meeting with a popular attorney from VH1 on the 29th at 4:30 pm of this month I'll keep you guys posted.

hey am interested, but got no money... i got a friend who is a rapper, hopefully you guys make a label and he signs with you(blackhatters) am his manager... good idea

So what have iv been doing with this the good and the bad.

I finally work with a A&R from Sony Music and work with another artist from Rick ross camp, other then that im still networking but making progress. Networking is the major thing though with this business i don't really have anything bad to say...things are still progressing
