Very true. There are opportunities for independent artists that didn't exist even 10 years ago. However, the business model still seems to be that you do the DIY stuff as a means of attracting the attention of a major label.

The biggest problem is all these new artists are lazy sacks of shit. They don't want to do anything, and expect money to appear on their doorstep overnight. There's a small percentage that are motivated, and out of those there's a slice who are really working it and doing some creative shit online.

That said, the time is totally prime for a new player to step in and do what you want to do. You could totally crush it. But the old school labels will feel threatened, you gotta be prepared to deal with their bullshit. With IM/online you can bypass the 899 levels of middlemen who want their slice, but all those middlemen get bitchy.

I've got a really simple idea for distribution/methods/payouts. PM me for info, you wouldn't believe how simple it is, and it's already being done, meaning I have a LIVE SITE for an example. Mini-niche site as well, targeted to one demographic of music.

Would be great to do this with a multi-site approach if anyone is seriously interested.

but i always want some one to make Remix of the songs i Listen . So my idea would be Remix the songs .
 
I have a recently released single with an artist i produce and perform with. If you guys are interested, it's a %100 independent release. She's a great singer, and a Hammond Organist. The track in question is very funky, with killer turntable parts and a badass organ solo towards the end.

Our goal is to bring musicianship back to popular music.

Meanwhile, can anybody give me some good itunes tips? It's still a bit of a mystery to me.

I don't even know how to feel about this post..but thanks, we got some partners ready to make this happen...I will tell you now this will be a long road to travel but im ready for it, its def gonna be interesting.
