How do you make an income?
If online what method do you use.. (CPA, affiliate, Ebay, etc)
Any one have a day time job..

I'm 19 and I work as an online shopper for a supermarket, and thanks to you guys now trying to make money online through online marketing... But not sure what method to use.. What do you think would be a good start...

I am a network administrator - Make most money from CPA besides working my regular job...

I'm 32 I had a day job for less than 3 years of my entire life. 1 year back in my country and 2 years in the US.

Now I take long vacations <one was 2 months and half>. my yearly income is always more than a regular job would offer me. I pay over $2000 a month for my kids daycare alone.

Don't waist your time and get to work where the money is. This forum will teach you everything you need.:):)

wtf is a day job :)

Unfortunately, it's something that some of us have been doing for a while before we found out about this stuff. ;)

Something I suggest to all others in the position of having a day job, as i'm just about to leave mine, is: PLAN. You hate your job? Sick of what you do? Tired of dealing with morons/idiots at work? Make a plan, and save up to quit! Look, what you need to do is write down every last thing that you spend money on every month. Cut out every little bullshit expense that you can, trim your bills down to as low as possible in order to SAVE as much money as possible.

I don't own an ipod, although I really want one, and I can buy one many times over, but that is SAVED money. I don't have a cell phone, although I'd like one, and can certainly "afford" it, that would be adding money to monthly expenditures and not allow me to save up as much money. Stop eating out, make sandwiches at home. These are simple things that don't take up too much time. You could look into coupons and such for groceries, but now you're spending more time on cutting corners than learning how to generate cash. (once you find out exactly how much you are spending, now you know how much money you need to make online to live every month, or how many months worth of living expenses your saved up money will last for)

Anyways, SAVE up as much money as possible, and learn and PUT INTO PRACTICE things from here. To be honest, I struggle with putting things into practice, but it's also partially due to my current job and hours worked. Henceforth, my plan has been to learn as much as possible, and SAVE as much as possible in order to take time off from work to make things happen.

Your situation will probably be different, but the underlying principle of cutting out monthly expenses, getting them as low as possible, is certainly something everyone can do.

I know this didn't *exactly* answer your question, but it's good advice regardless. ;)

I still have a daytime job but I'm lucky. It's a big company and they stimulate horizontal mobility.
So when I'm tired of a position I move on to the next. And by doing that earning a little more and getting energy from new challenges.

Everything I earn online is extra and can be used to invest in new projects or to spend on extra luxury.

I have a dayjob doing marketing/sales and for some big time "white" hat marketers. Totally different ball game. Most of my bosses know less about IM than I do. But they have the 6-7 figure budgets for e-mail drops, cpa offers and call centers. So all of my income currently comes from IM. But most of that is from my dayjob.

But hey. I aint complaining....

wtf is a day job :)

It is the thing that some of us unfortunate souls have that crushes your soul and sucks the life right out of you. I've been in mine for almost a decade. The work is not that bad but the management and corporate structure is horrible. They're NEVER happy and they are always wanting more out of you. I'm trying to earn a living online and mostly with the help of this forum I'm up to about $1300/month or so. Not a living yet, but some spendin' money. :)

I have a day job at a cookie stuffing factory ;)

i have a day job but i should sooner or later make more than my day job. my day jobs comfortable so i choose to keep it. that and my boss doesnt even live in the state

To grasp that not fucking this up is to run it like a business. Business is about the formalising of doing, for a reason: so that things can be depended on once they are instigated.
I don't mean behave like some moron manager... I mean you have to learn to see things with the eye of a business owner.

Beyond that, and RandomStuff's no bs budgeting advice, I regret to inform that this is not an 'either or' question.

My day job is good....
My online ventures are fun and produce good money...
My day job has benefits and pension...
My online ventures don't provide those, because I am having to much fun making money...
My DJ gives me physical social contact...
MY OLV give me naked women every single day...LOL
I will keep both until I win the the lotto....:D

Never had a day job and never want to have a day job.

I've never had a dayjob i really liked, so i'm currently trying to get hold of enough info about CS and live from it.

I have a day job as a Windows/Web .Net Developer.

I am using my day job to pay for the rest of my schooling, and after I get my MBA, I will either start doing some part-time consulting (if my IM money is enough for me to live on), or I will look for a nice 6 Figure Plus job doing something mindless.

Dont just rely on Cookie Stuffing to give you a stable income.
