Hey everyone!

I’ve signed up as an affiliate for a company that runs online casinos. I have the skills to do everything that’s needed except grow my list. What’s the best way to do this? SEO?

I’ll be building a site this weekend to provide gambling information and include a signup form and do SEO. What sort of traffic sources should I be targeting? And how quickly can I grow a list. I jut need something (even if it’s less than 100 players) to show them that I’m interested in marketing their brands. I don’t want them to think that I’m wasting their time. Would it be wise to buy a list just to get started? If so, where would I get one that doesn’t cost too much?

Looking forward to hearing why you guys think.

Nothing in IM is quickly and no you shouldn't buy a list.
Yip, I know it will take a while probably years. Do you think that they would still be willing to work with me even if I don’t get them any players in the first couple of months?

Not years but yeah certainly months of hard work.

Of course they will work with you, they don't lose anything if you don't make money and have only to gain.

Ahh, that's great then. The main concern I had was that they would cancel my account if I didn't bring in players soon enough.

Doesn't cost too much? Without having steady regular income from elsewhere, I suggest NOT to get into gambling niche. You won't do much. And by saying steady regular income, I really mean $2K-$3K that you wouldn't mind losing ... on monthly basis ... until you figure out waht works for you. Gambling is tough business, kid.

I've worked in the online gaming industry so I have a decent understanding of most aspects. I worked more on retention of players though, I've never focused on acquisition. I do have a day job right now but the plan is to eventually work from home. I have no issue with putting in work after hours and even on weekends if I have to. I'd be prepared to buy large lists of players that are more expensive but not right now while it's just a side gig...

I don't know if this would work but most casino affiliates work with several different gambling websites/companies, rigth? Write a review for those games/casinos/companies, rank them on page 1, tell them that you already rank and if they don't accept you as their afiliate, tell them you will send the traffic to their competitors.

Thanks, man. I'll write a few reviews, the ranking won't be a problem as I've ranked sites in other industries on the first page before and kept them there (should be even easier with single posts, right?). The problem though isn't being accepted by the affiliate companies, most are willing to work with you. My problem is growing a list of players who are interested in the offers and will be wagering often so that I can make money.
