Yeah but youre not telling me anything i dont know... if i had no knowledge whatsoever and the mailing lists didnt reach me or word of mouth either then how could i be pointed in the direction of forums? What youre saying is true but it would still be limited to a small amount of people having such knowledge and not like 5 million people, does this make sense?

lots? like almost everyone has email and if not on mailing lists, folks get newsletters and if not that, blogs pick it up and republish stuff all the time and nowadays it's so much easier to blow up on twitter/fb/tg and reddit.

How do they build a emails list, you think? you must have interest in money making or similar niche and put your email somewhere. and they collect it and send bulk promotion. ask yourself are you interested back then in IM? when did you find about bitcoin , how and why. you can find the answer.
